Fall Open Gyms: NC GBB (bigs)

We spent time at the NC Good, Better, Best Academy and watched their fall workouts. They have an immense amount of talent in the paint!    Zimmerman is the leader in the gym for NC GBB. She keeps the drills moving, she works at a high level, she communicates at all times, and she is a fierce competitor. Zimmerman scored in the paint, she knocked down the outside shot, and she consistently knocked down the midrange. On defense, Zimmerman tried to push her teammates to make them even better. She is an elite player with outstanding leadership skills.     Richardson showed off her skill set in this workout. She can easily score with her left, she can counter with her right, and she has range out to the three. Richardson is willing to bang with the posts or drain a turnaround jump shot with ease. She is very talented. Richardson also set multiple ball screens, rolled to the rim, and finished with power. She is a skilled player with a strong basketball build.     Pierre-Louis is a tremendous athlete. She runs the floor well and she can jump out of the gym. She is an explosive player who seems to almost float when she shoots a jump shot. Pierre-Louis is a talented offensive player, but she likes to take over a game on defense. She can block several shots, force numerous steals, alter shots with her length, and help her teammates in any situation on the court. Pierre-Louis is also a beast on the boards. She is a special senior who can impact a game in various ways.     Smith is a physical post player with great hands, great feet, and fantastic touch around the rim. She has range out to three and can also knock down the midrange consistently. Smith can score through any contact on the block. When she catches in the high post, she can drive hard to the rim and score or she turn her back to the basket and score with a smooth post move. Smith is a talented player ready for a fantastic season.     Bryant is special. She is a skilled player with an exceptional skill set. Byrant can score in the paint, she can score in transition, she can score with contact, she can score with touch. She has a pretty jump shot and the ability to score at full speed on the drive. Bryant can also create space for her shot at any point in the offense. She has a great feel for the game and is an unselfish player ready for a breakout year.
