When the word officially came down, most of Oho couldn't believe what they saw. Ohio's #1 ranked 2026 in the latest Prep Girls Hoops rankings and top 3 in the nation has made the move south.

[player_tooltip player_id='537667' first='Saniyah' last='Hall'], who spent her first two years at Laurel where she established very quickly herself as the top-ranked player in her class, has transferred to Montverde Academy in Florida for the upcoming season.

Hall, who was even considered by many as someone who could very well be the best player in the nation in her class, is being recruited by everybody and could honestly go pretty much anywhere she wants to. I had one AAU coach off record till me she had such a powerful summer, again Hall could be in consideration of being the best player in the nation period.

That is a huge statement, but wherever she sits nationally, Hall was part of the USA 3x3 that won Gold and had such a good summer, she legitimately could have moved to the top of every list.

Hall is such a strong physical presence with smooth moves to the rim and does a good job drawing contact. She can score on anyone. Steps out and knocks down shots and she makes it very tough for her opponent to score.

PGH Ohio's Angie Saiter also is very impressed with Hall:

"When you watch Hall, one of the best all-around ballers in the nation, whether it be in a Legends, Laurel, USA, or soon to be Montverde Academy jersey- you are witnessing something special. She's on a whole different level- plays with such fire on defense in how she dominates boards, blocks shots with authority, and thrives on guarding opposing teams very best."

"And Saniyah's offensive skills- insanely difficult to stop. Her spin moves to the basket, hang time, outside shooting, confidence in not only herself but her teammates, and leadership skills are just a few of many qualities that Hall shows every time she steps foot on the court. She is a joy to watch- and will be for many years to come."

The Ohio 2026 rankings will be updated on November.
