After back-to-back weekends of watching some of the best freshmen and sophomores in Minnesota strut their stuff at two Prep Girls Hoops showcase events, it was the juniors and seniors who had their turn in the spotlight this past Sunday. More than 75 prospects took to the floor at Jefferson High school in Bloomington. Grant McGinnis, Ally McGinnis and I are doing individual evaluations of the top performers on each of the eight teams this week. Here are the standouts from Team 7, part 1. It was a strong group.

Rohloff gets up and down the court like she was shot out of a cannon. She has a smooth handle and good feel for the game that usually translates into good fortune. She likes to get out and run. but stays under control throughout. Rohloff doesn't force the issue, either. If nothing is there, she keeps the ball moving. Along with being a lethal jump shooter, Kaitlyn has a nice lay-up package when she gets around the basket. She already has a Class A state championship under her belt so coming up big when it counts is nothing new for the dynamo out of Hancock. Rohloff has the potental to be a standout collegian at the scholarship level.

Agwa is long, athletic and selfless. This Top 50 prospect out of Austin makes her bones playing lock-down defense and getting out and running in transition. At Jefferson High School on Sunday, Ajiem used her length to wreak havoc on opponents, sliding over into help defensie to block shots, pick off errant passes and being a welcomed nuisance. Agwa uses her quick first step to blow by defenders to get into the paint where she is capable of finishing in a variety of ways. Ajiem averaged just over 23 points per game last season, including at 51-point explosion against Mankato West. She is a scholarship-level prospect whose stock continues to rise.

Caskey was one of the most athletic players in attendance at the Expo. When she jumped, she seemed to be floating on air. Defensively, that athleticism was on full display as she was able to play a physical brand of basketball due to her strong frame and did so without fouling. On the offensive side of things, she plays with good pace and attacks the rim using her leaping ability to finish over much bigger players. Ayla scored just under 17 points per game last season while leading her New London-Spicer squad to the Class AA state tournament where the Wildcats came up just short in the consolation title game. She'll be looking to get back to the big dance, and with how she's playing, she appears up to the task.

Stark was one of few players who felt comfortable enough throughout the showcase on Sunday to communicate loudly and clearly on a consistent basis. Along with talking on both sides of the ball, Hope had no problem giving her body up on defense for the greater good. Those are great attributes to have. Now toss in her elite shooting ability and you have a real problem on your hands. Led by South Dakota State commit [player_tooltip player_id='346165' first='Hadley' last='Thul'], Alexandria has a well-stocked lineup and made a deep state tournament run where they finished third in Class AAA last season. It's tough to predict where Stark will fit in coach Wendy Kohler's plans this time around. What we do know after watching Hope work on Sunday is this: When she's called upon, Stark will be ready.
