Warwas is what you would call a “glue player.” She does a lot of things that don't show up on the stat sheet. Sami moves well without the ball, makes the extra pass, defends, and does whatever it takes to help her team be successful. Those attributes were on full display at the showcase. Warwas is a high-IQ player who performs within herself and she took advantage on Sunday of opportunities when they presented themselves. She's still fine-tuning her offensive skillset but in the meantime, Warwasis going to continue to beat you with shear will and effort.

Ava was one of my favorite players to cover at the Sophomore ID Camp. She was consistent throughout the entire day. Like [player_tooltip player_id='764229' first='Toni' last='Fisher'], I'm not sure if she ever gets tired. She has a quick first step and gets to the basket in the blink of an eye. The lefty loves to push the pace and pass after pass were right where her teammates could just catch the ball and lay it the basket. When she wasn't running circles around the defense, Ava would show off her outside shot just to keep them honest. Doherty was a problem on the defensive side as well making things very uncomfortable for her opponents using her quick feet and anticipation to disrupt the offense.

Stork is known for how hard she works, and nothing was any different on Sunday. She crashes the boards with reckless abandon and pushes the ball at a breakneck pace. Her footwork in the paint, coupled with the ability to finish with either hand, is next-level. One play in particular comes to mind. In transition Stork got all the way to the basket and hit the defense with a picture perfect up-and-under, finishing with a sweeping left-hand scoop shot. We're looking forward to watching Stork again this high school season.

I remember watching Mobasi this past summer during AAU season simply just working hard and learning the game on the fly. Fast forward a few months and where her game was from then to now is night and day. I don't think she took a shot outside the lane during the summer and on Sunday, she was knocking down 17-footers hand over fist. Her efficiency is what really stood out. No wasted movements or dribbles. Everything was either to get to the basket or getting it out of her hands to a teammate to make something happen. I asked her how she's come so far so fast, and she just said, “I'm in the gym every day.” There it is folks, if you want to be great, you must put in the work. The proof is in the pudding.
