If you read our piece earlier on Monday on the Sophomore ID Camp All-Showcase Team, then you already know that Addy lived up to her advance billing and more. That's not surprising. Much has been expected from her since entering the high school realm as an oversized 7th grader with a lot of potential. Everything we anticipated from Addy is coming to fruition. She's long and strong, mobile and athletic, with an advanced skill set, the drive to be great and exceptional basketball genetics. Bjorklund has been a varsity mainstay for a long time. She's been a standout with Stars just as long. In due course, we think she's going to do the same at the D1 collegiate level. Bottom line? Addy is the real deal.

At every Prep Girls Hoops showcase event we've had in Minnesota there has been at least one complete unknown roll into the gym in anonymity and make us sit up and say, ‘Wow!' On Sunday that was Averie. Simply put, the lengthy forward, whose resume includes approximately zero high-level experience, is about to become a legit college prospect. She attacked the rim relentlessly, soaring up and over opponents, using her substantial length to outmaneuver defenders and finish with either hand. Defensively her length was a weapon, as well. Averie is wiry, with a body type and playing style that reminds us a lot of Mira Wismer from Benilde-St. Margaret's. That's a pretty good benchmark. Less than 24 hours after the showcase ended, several AAU teams had reached out about Mieseler joining them for the 2025 season. That's what we call a debut!

The Minnetonka lineup is as deep as it gets in high school basketball so we are never surprised when an unheralded Skipper shows off some notable chops even if she isn't a household name. That's what Greta did at the Sophomore ID Camp. Swendseid isn't known for any one particular strength in her game, but is a well-rounded competitor who does a variety of things effectively. Going left, she is deadly, with a quick first step, a couple of go-to moves and the ability to finish consistently with her left hand. She is also a good shooter who can get hot on a moment's notice. We liked her energy level and effort, too. Greta is a good help defender and her on-ball defense has improved. It could be awhile before Swendseid works her way up the 'Tonka food chain but it's likely to happen in due course.

The talent pool runs deep at St. Michael-Albertville where such household names as [player_tooltip player_id='330743' first='Abby' last='Hoselton'] and [player_tooltip player_id='344333' first='Cail' last='Jahnke'] own the limelight with [player_tooltip player_id='630242' first='Caelyn' last='Foster'] up next. Folks would do well to remember Slusarczyk's name, too, because the big guard has a chance to do big things this season. Coming off a great summer, Maiya did good work on Sunday before landing hard on her elbow later in the day. She runs the floor well, drives hard to the basket and finishes through contact while consistently hustling. Slusarczyk has a great shot, although she's sometimes reluctant to pull the trigger. After earning sporadic minutes last winter, Maiya is poised for a regular role this time around. Don't be surprised if she's a starter by spring.

The lengthy forward from Crossfire made her presence known one year ago at the PGH Freshman Showcase. This time around we saw a whole lot more, and we liked what we saw. Elle has excellent length. That enables her to be a disruptive defender who can force turnovers and block shots, quickly turning defense into offense for her team, and she can rebound, too. Neiderhiser is a classic case of a taller kid who got stuck in the post when she was young and is now trying to craft her outside game. The effort is paying off. Neiderhiser showed she can be explosive on the attack and get to the basket with force and finesse. Her shot has improved, too. Once Elle's confidence and self-belief catches up to her talent level, she could be very good.
