Slusarczyk’s breakout 2025 season has vaulted her into the Top 100 at #77, with her arrow pointing up. She had a dominant summer with the 2027 Freeze squad, earning honorable mention status for the Prep Girls Hoops AAU Breakout Player of the Year award. On Sunday coaches saw Maiya be strong and active, running the floor at pace, scoring through contact, and playing with relentless effort. up next. Folks would do well to remember Slusarczyk’s name, too, because the big guard has a chance to do big things this season. Coming off a great summer, Maiya did good work on Sunday before landing hard on her elbow later in the day. She runs the floor well, drives hard to the basket and finishes through contact while consistently hustling. Slusarczyk has a great shot, although she’s sometimes reluctant to pull the trigger. After earning sporadic minutes last winter, Maiya is poised for a regular role this time around. Don’t be surprised if she’s a starter by spring.
