McDonald brings good size to the position and scoring ability with either hand. She also will take opposing bigs to the hole from the high paint area. She also was named to the Sports In Kansas second and KSHSAACovered's honorable mention 4A teams. She brings good size to the position. Pinning defenders high while calling for the ball with her off hand Schuster catches and scores well in the paint. She effectively keeps the ball high and scores the mid-range jumper off the catch. Schuster has quick feet to go either way around the block and score in traffic but has a tendency to be right hand heavy. A first team Heart of the Plains first team selection she also was named to KSHSAACovered's and Sports In Kansas's honorable mention lists. A credible perimeter shooter she has good hands to catch and score quickly going either way out of her back-to-basket game. She runs the floor well and has end-to-end ability off the rebound. Ending the season as a second team selection in the brutal Mid-Continent League she also was named to Sports In Kansas' honorable mention list. Brooks has a nice build with strong shoulders. She used her body effectively to put up 8.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Brooks also averaged 2.5 steals. With her free throw shooting appearing to have improved over the summer I anticipate more three point play opportunities will push her scoring into double digits. Brooks has the ability to finish with athleticism on the move but does need to be more consistent with her speed handling the ball in transition. I expect a big season that should drive a rise up the rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
