2026 Pre-Season Film Study- Top Bigs

The Prep Girls Hoops writers will be covering athletes that we anticipate will put up some impressive stats and have an influence on their high school teams. We really look forward to writing about all these individuals who are going to be recognized for the qualities they bring to the court. I started my first write up about point guards now we're turning our heads to the post players!    It's entertaining to observe Boynton's enthusiasm and vigor on the floor! She just gets the job done and doesn't let up. She is lethal on both sides of the court. Once she starts moving, she really takes off in her game. She has a very high ceiling. She can stop and pop a quick mid-range jumper with her outstanding speed, which allows her to outrun her opponents down the floor and score at the rim through contact.     Her wingspan enables her to grab rebounds and create numerous deflections in the paint, seeing the next pass and blocking shots. On the initial dribble, she can outmuscle her opponent and take the ball coast to coast.  Her rapid shot release and ability to smash long shots, it is difficult for her defender to get a hand in her face because she gets rid of the ball so quickly down the floor. She doesn't take a play off.     She never fails to make her presence known in the paint, when she comes off the block, she can hit mid-range shots and run the floor like a point guard. She has a nice pick and roll move to score off her defenders. Seals her opponents on the low block and scores through contact. When she gets to the line she hits her shots. Strong body with a high ceiling.     She does a fantastic job of using her speed to make it difficult for opponents to defend her. She can perform exceptionally well in paint. May take them out from around the edge to open up the offense. She can defend in the paint and in the passing lanes because of her excellent length. Quite difficult to score with her wingspan. Good all-around player with a bright future ahead of her, able to play a variety of positions.     It says she is a power forward, and she does have power on the low block and paint. She really works well around the rim and can score through multiple of defenders. She can pop out of the paint and score from the outside or even drive to the rim like she is a point guard in some aspects of the game. Releases quickly down the floor and has very good help side defense. Long arms and legs with strength under her belt.     She possesses a great deal of potential, a high ceiling, hard work ethic, and size to really hurt opponents on the court from anywhere. Every time she sets foot on the floor, she develops more and more in her game, protects the paint, and moves around the floor with ease! She picks up ball on fastbreaks and gets a lot of deflections. With her game improving as rapidly as it is, she has a very bright future ahead of her.     A very strong help-side and makes herself known in the paint as she boxes you out, rebounds the ball, scores over you and hurts you down on the block. Her strength and IQ for the game is what makes her such a good ball player, she makes smart choices and scores in transition. When she gets the ball on the block she fights through contact and is very strong with the ball, doesn't have a problem scoring in the paint.
