Senior Sensations: Height Matters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><br>High schools across North Carolina are officially back in session which means basketball season is right around the corner.  There are plenty of seniors looking to make their last season their best season, so let's take a look at some of the tall seniors that I'm excited to follow this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block force on the block knowing exactly how to seal off her opponents and give her teammates a target with her outstretched hands.  She shows off nice footwork after she catches the ball going to work to score her points knowing exactly how to move to bank the ball off the glass.  She runs the floor well, too, being a good trail person on the fast break or taking the lead catching the ball in stride threat all over the court.  She uses her height to be an asset inside the paint being able to go to work against anyone.  She can catch the ball at the top of the key and drive it hard to the hoop scoring through contact.  Her versatility is apparent when she knocks down her shot from deep.  The range is apparent on the defensive side of the ball being able to block shots with her length, and she knows how to anticipate passes grabbing the steal.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block definitely a powerhouse in the paint.  Her wide stance makes it difficult for anyone to move her establishing her position to get the pass and go to work.  She has a nice drop step with a power dribble that consistently gets her into the right position to score some points.  Contact doesn't deter her going up for the bucket as she battles through it and takes advantage of three point play opportunities.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block solid rebounder being one of the top ones in the state.  She uses rebounds to get some second chance points for her team, and she can score from all over the court.  She even holds the record for most points in a game at North Stanly, and she is sure to continue that scoring mentality this upcoming season.  Her hands are a nuisance on defense blocking shots and deflecting passes making sure her opponents don't have an easy path to the basket.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
