A Key Player From Each NEPSAC Class A Team Pt. 1

The prep season is loading and there are some incredible teams constructed in what's known to be one of the best conferences in the country. NEPSAC Class A includes 21 teams. Today the players mentioned are from Holy Child, Hotchkiss, Hopkins, Loomis, Masters, Kent and Milton Academy. With a fair number of teams in this class, below are just 7 key players referenced from each team in the Class A division.    [player_tooltip player_id='1041821' first='Alani' last='Rodriguez'] (2027) | CG | Phillips Academy   Truly one of the most dynamic guards in the entire class, the highly touted '27 star has a remarkable ability to finish plays at the rim. Alani is a tenacious driver that has a crafty handle that allows her to freely move around the floor. The amount of attention Rodriguez receives from the defense is absurd. The sophomore guard has a couple offers so far and with an impactful season watch her stock rise even higher. Phillips Academy is in for a good season, especially with a talent like Alani on the team.     [player_tooltip player_id='1049681' first='Abby' last='Gametchu-Walker'] (2026) | 5'9 SF | BB&N]   Expect Abeba to be one of BB&N's shining stars this season. She'll be playing in a bigger role in her junior year. Abeba is a 2-way player with great size as well as next-level athleticism. She shows real potential to be a star on both ends of the floor. Gametchu-Walker is the type of prospect that college coaches would want on their team. Her ability to attack defenders closing out is a skill that stands out. Abeba has an extremely long wingspan that allows her swallow up defenders. She has the capacity to lock down primary scorers on the perimeter too. With the quick development Gametchu-Walker has displayed recently, she can surely be a major factor for BB&N.     [player_tooltip player_id='481342' first='Abigail' last='Kim'] (2026) | 5'6 CG | Choate   Abigail is a spirited combo guard with tons of offensive firepower. The skilled sophomore has crafty moves while she creates space. She can find others easily and has a sweet lefty jumper that's pretty consistent. Defenders have to adapt to Kim's pace of play because she dictates the tempo of the game with the ball in her hands. She is just as shrewd on the defensive side of the ball as well. Kim is without question a key player for Choate this year.     [player_tooltip player_id='946977' first='Valentina' last='Resto'] (2028) | 5'3 CG | Dana Hall   Valentina represents the list of talented prospects as the sole freshman here. There's no carelessness in Resto's game. The efficient combo guard is coming into the season with a polished skillset that translates to efficient offense. She plays under control and has a plethora of composed 2-feet finishes. Resto isn't the biggest gambler on defense either. She keeps ballhandlers within distance and disrupts shooters in rhythm. Dana Hall has a sound weapon on their hands with Valentina on the team.     Charlotte Coody (2026) | 6'0 C | Deerfield   Charlotte is a strong bodied big that fights for position and gives her team plenty of second chance points throughout the game. Coody works well in halfcourts sets due to her ability to make herself available. She doesn't require the ball too much, but she will get her points cleaning up misses around the rim. Charlotte is also a solid post defender. She will deter shots at the rim and provide solid protection from post scorers. The 6'0 junior will be a key option for Deerfield as they look to bounce back after a tough season last year.     [player_tooltip player_id='405948' first='Cassie' last='Beste'] (2025) | 5'6 CG | Phillips Exeter   Cassie is a 5'6 combo guard that shows the capacity to score and create for others on all 3 levels. She has valid jump shot from midrange or the 3-point line plus a damaging attack game off the dribble. Beste embraces contact at the rim and can finish through it as well. A solid defender that seeks gratification in stopping her opponent. The competitive nature that Cassie possesses is something that stands out amongst all her other great attributes. Beste will be a key contributor to watch this year for Exeter.     Eliza Babyak (2025) | SG/Wing | Greenwich Academy   The two-sport athlete serves as a great piece within the team dynamic. Eliza provides an additional spark to Greenwich's offense, especially with her scintillating, yet unique looking 3-point shot. Babyak is incredibly enthusiastic with an infectious spirit and her shot making ability can give her team energy at any point in the game. Eliza can be a staple in Greenwich's offensive schemes throughout the year. She also serves as a physical body on the defensive end that's willing to hustle. The '25 guard can surprise some this season.
