After a quick break following the release of the 2026 class rankings update, we have some stock risers to take a look at. Today, we're looking at eight kids in this class, which I feel have improved over the last twelve months. Let's get into it.

A name that surprised me all of last season was [player_tooltip player_id='842214' first='Maddie' last='Brown'], and the more I saw her film, and when I saw her in AAU, I liked her even more. The 5'11 guard/wing has enough skills with the ball in her hands to operate as a lead guard and handle different pressures defenses might throw at her. Brown also showed a shooting touch from the free-throw line, paint, and three-point line I didn't expect in her sophomore season. There's plenty of room to grow if she wants to keep leveling up. It'll take hours in the gym, but the potential is there. There is something to work with there.

After missing significant time due to injury, being back on the floor was probably enough of a win for her in my books, but I thought she looked much more comfortable at the end of the AAU season. You could see her confidence coming back to her, and, in turn, she started looking much better. I thought she had a burst off the dribble that helped her attack the basket, and her shot looked more natural, and she didn't seem to have hesitation shooting the ball. Having her back in the high school season will be nice to see her get her high school career rolling.

I thought Timm found her role with River Falls this past season. A majority of her shots came from behind the three-point line, and all but four of her 53 made shots also came from behind the three-point line. Timm was a 36% shooter for the Wildcats from long-range and played well off of kids who excel with the ball in her hands. I also thought she gave them some help on the glass and grabbed five rebounds a few times in a game last season. Timm also has some defensive potential with her length on the perimeter.

I probably still underrate Verbeten, but there's much more to come from her in her junior season. The 5'8 guard is at the heart of everything the Tigers do and led her team in most statistical categories last season. Verbeten is an excellent perimeter defender and has become a better shooter in the first few years at Wrightstown. She's the type of player plenty of small schools in the area will want in their program.
