Harter let her presence be known last season, averaging a whopping 7.8 blocks per game (1st in California and 7th nationally). She also averaged 6.8 steals and 12.6 rebounds per game. Harter finished the season with 24 double-doubles, including multiple triple-doubles and even a quadruple-double to close out the season. What makes Harter so special defensively is her versatility. At 5'11, Harter can legitimately defend one through five, making her very effective defensively when involved in ball screen actions.

Last season, Marr filled up the stat sheet, averaging 20.8 points, 13.0 rebounds, and an impressive 6.3 blocks per game. Marr put together three games with 10 or more blocks and had a season-high of 16 blocks in a win against Central Valley High School. Marr was also very dominant on the glass, finishing the season with 24 double-doubles and had eight games with 15 or more rebounds.

In her sophomore season, Schwartz helped lead John Adams Academy to a 22-6 record while averaging 27.9 points, 6.8 assists, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and 8.8 steals per game (3rd in California). Schwartz is a great on-ball defender. With quick hands and lateral speed, she was able to pick up her defender and get many steals which led to easy fast-break basketball. At 5'10, she was also a good rim protector, having many blocks on drives by her smaller guard opponents.

As just a freshman, the 6'2 center finished 5th in California with 5.7 blocks per game. Oldenburg anchored the defense for a dominant Chino team that finished 21-4 for the season and 10-0 in league play. Oldenburg also averaged 10.4 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game. While she struggled with getting in foul trouble early in the season, Oldenburg was much more disciplined as she got used to high school basketball. Her ability to stay on the floor and impact the defensive end was a large reason why the Cowboys went on a 17-game winning streak before eventually losing to Louisville to end the season. As she enters her sophomore season, we can expect another dominant season from Oldenburg.

Last season as a freshman, Gallagher finished 2nd in the nation with 10.1 steals per game. Despite being just 5'3, Gallagher is a great on-ball defender. She has great instincts that help her read passing lanes, and her speed makes her a nightmare for opposing guards. Gallagher was a steals machine last season, finishing with two 15-steal games, a 16-steal game, and two games with 17 steals. Gallagher's knack for generating steals fuels her offensive game, where she excels as both a scorer and playmaker in transition.

In her junior season, Collins averaged an impressive 8.2 steals and 8.0 rebounds to go with a solid 14.0 points per game. While she is not much of a threat from beyond the arch, Collins is able to turn defense into offense by generating so many steals and scoring easy layups in transition. Collins is a great rebounder for her size, finishing with double-digit rebounds in six different games. Collins often finds the ball in her hands on the break whether that be from grabbing a defensive rebound or generating a steal. When in transition she does a great job of getting all the way to the rim or kicking it out to her teammates on the wing.

King was a force in the paint in her sophomore season, averaging 16.3 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per game. As a shot blocker, King does an exceptionally good job of staying verticle and on the ground when contesting shots. Her height and long reach allow her to disrupt drives in the paint without putting herself in foul trouble. She is also a great weak side defender, knowing when to help on drives which often resulted in blocked shots or penetrators kicking it out or turning it over. Her impressive 2.6 steals are a result of her off-ball awareness and knowing when to jump the passing lane or front her opponent when an entry pass is being made.
