A couple of weeks ago, we released the updated rankings for the Class of 2025. With 235 players now either ranked in our Top 100 or a part of our 135-person watch list in 2025, I wanted to take the time to highlight a few girls from each position group. Below is a look at the power forwards and the 40 ladies included in this specific group, followed by some analysis on a handful of those prospects.

Ashiyah was unfortunately injured early in the Summer and didn't get a chance to participate in the July "live" period events. She is back participating at Lawrence North and looks every bit of 6-1 now. She is extremely long, wiry-strong, fluidly athletic, and somewhat bouncy. She has tended to make athletic plays other girls just can't complete. She is versatile defensively, can sit down and defend bigger guards, wings, and forwards, plus she's an active pursuing rebounder with a nose for the ball. I've also seen her skillset improve a great deal.

Alyson is another player who injured her knee in June, and she too missed out on July play. She is a tough-nosed, somewhat physical, and aggressive forward. She is most comfortable in the mid-post, where she can shoot it or drive it from there. She can step outside and knock down the occasional rhythm 3-pointer, or she can go down to the block and score in the post against undersized defenders. As a defender herself, she can take on bigger wings, forwards, and undersized posts. She is also an excellent box out style of rebounder.

Kiora is extremely long, wiry, very active, and even somewhat bouncy. She plays with a nice motor and has an inside-out skillset. She does a nice job of using her length to play taller than she is inside the paint. She will pursue rebounds, finish over defenders, and she has a nice 15-foot jumper. Additionally, she can step outside and attack from there, plus she can sit down and defend smaller positions effectively. Over the Summer she transferred from Fort Wayne Canterbury to Bishop Luers, and she should be one of their better players.

I've always enjoyed Reagan's game, because no matter who she's matched up against, she figures out ways to be productive. She is strong, tough-nosed, and physical, plus she plays with an outstanding motor. At one time, there was the thought she might become a wing, and she does have a solid skillset. But she is so good in the mid-post and she has such a knack for seeking contact and knowing how to position herself. She is a good rebounder, a versatile defender, and she typically outworks her matchup.

Reese is another Bishop Luers standout, but she has been there and helped them win a 2024 Class 2A State Championship. She is a long, wiry-strong, active, and athletic forward. She is a lot more physical than she might look, she's a nice pursuing rebounder, plus she has a pretty mid-range jumper. At times she can extend that to the perimeter, but she's very good in the mid-post, and she's an athletic attacker off the dribble. I also like her ability to defend bigger guards, wings, and undersized power forwards/posts.
