A couple of weeks ago, we released the updated rankings for the Class of 2025. With 235 players now either ranked in our Top 100 or a part of our 135-person watch list in 2025, I wanted to take the time to highlight a few girls from each position group. Below is a look at the point guards and the 36 ladies included in this specific group, followed by some analysis on a handful of those prospects.

Mackenzie unfortunately missed the entire Spring and a little of the Summer, but she is definitely an uncommitted prospect several of the Midwest's best small colleges would enjoy adding to their programs. She has a strong frame, she's tough and physical at the point guard position, plus she can handle, distribute, shoot, or get downhill North/South. While college Freshman tend to struggle with contact in their first year, Mackenzie is someone who I think is set up to succeed immediately because of her frame and how she competes.

Gracie spent the Spring & Summer training versus playing grassroots ball, but she is a skillful, high IQ point guard prospect. She has nice length, fluidity, and good all-around awareness. She can knock down shots with range, slice to the basket, or create and find open teammates consistently. I also like her awareness defensively, her use of her length at that end, and her ability to create deflections/steals. I think a number of the small colleges in the Midwest would also like her versatility as either a traditional point or a shooter/scorer.

If Laila is anything, she's an athletic playmaker. She has nice length, a wiry-strong frame, and she has good speed & quickness. She loves to play off the bounce and create offense, whether it's for herself or open teammates. She can get to the basket in a hurry, but learning how to change speeds could definitely help her. She can knock down an open rhythm jumper if set, but I also like her potential as an on-ball defender. She has the athletic tools to be a lock down defender, but she also uses her instincts to create steals off the ball.

Brooklyn had a really nice July and picked up several small college opportunities because of it. She has dealt with her injuries, but now she looks healthy, she's a little leaner, and she's a bit more explosive in all directions. She is one of the hardest working kids in the class, and she does a lot of the "little things" to help her teams win. She has a solid handle, good vision, and she can knock down open rhythm jumpers consistently. If she can prove she can defend the smaller, water-bug type of guards consistently, that will help her recruiting.

Paige can be entertaining to watch, as she has a real competitive, almost feisty style of play. She plays with a lot of energy and toughness, but she also understands the game, has good vision, and knows how to play "small". She is compact with the ball, gets gaps off the bounce, and puts pressure on defenses. She's a willing passer, but she also has the ability to shoot/score when left alone. I think she could be a good "culture" kid for a small college, but she is also someone who I think will contribute as a traditional point guard.
