Last Tuesday, we released the updated rankings for the Class of 2027. With 125 players now either ranked in our Top 50 or a part of our 75-person watch list in 2027, I wanted to take the time to highlight a few girls from each position group. Below is a look at the small forwards and the 19 ladies included in this specific group, followed by some analysis on a handful of those prospects.

"K.P." had an unreal rookie season in 2023-2024, averaging 26.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 4.5 steals per game. I will be curious to see what she can do for an encore. She is a strong, physical, very athletic forward, and she plays with a nonstop energy that can be contagious to teammates. She is an aggressive attacker off the bounce, she finds her way to nearly every rebound, and she can score it in a variety of ways from each of three levels. As she continues to polish her skillset, look for her game to become more efficient.

Bedford still won 20 games last season, and Miley was responsible for 9.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game as a Freshman. With a number of vital graduation losses over the past couple of years, she immediately steps to the forefront and becomes their top Star. She is strong, physical, and aggressive at both ends of the floor. At the same time, she has great mid-post skill, solid perimeter skill, and a motor to go with it. Teams will undoubtedly focus on her a lot, but she has the tools and toughness to remain productive.

Year after year Northridge produces fundamental, athletic wings & guards who play with great versatility and a nice understanding of the game. Reagan fits that mold well, and I felt like she had a strong Summer, when I was able to see her. She has great length, wiry strength, plus she moves well in most directions. She can handle it a little, put it on the floor and attack the basket, or knock down an open rhythm jumper. As she has gotten stronger over the last couple of years, she has been consistently more productive.

I have watched Jordyn for a couple of years now, and she is a strong, physical wing prospect who continues to produce consistently. She has nice touch and a quick release from the perimeter, and that's probably what stands out the most about her. She is a solid North/South athlete who can straight-line drive it, but she likes to hunt jump-shots from the perimeter first. Defensively, she has begun to play with more urgency, and she is becoming a more effective rebounder as well. She can also defend a combination of wings and forwards.

Emma is still one of those wait-and-see prospects, because she continues to grow. she's added 2-3 inches just in the last year, and she might not be done. That growth, coupled with her skillet, has allowed her to play around the perimeter and in the mid-post. She's starting to rebound more effectively, score it around the paint better, but she still maintains her perimeter skill and can handle it comfortably around the perimeter, plus knock down the occasional open 3-pointer. She's been good, and her best days are ahead of her.
