Highlights from the Power 100 Camp 2023

Our high school student athletes were in the building (shout out to Ron Slay) putting that work in.&nbsp; Guards dazzled the crowd as they made smooth moves to attack the rim. Forwards and bigs did work on the interior, muscling through the competition. Talk about premium talent at one location, yeah this was the event you had to be at.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>You know the phrase “iron sharpens iron,” this event was that plus more, as like minded kids just got after it. From the training session to the games, it was competitive right from the start. This event really got everyone's juices flowing as practices will begin in two weeks from today. Then it's on! She has sensational court vision where she makes the right play at the right time. She can get down hill and finish in the paint or pull it from the arc, hitting nothing but the bottom of the net. Love her craftiness and her ability to create off the dribble. Defensively, she will sit down and guard, slowing down the opposition and disrupting the timing of things. She has quick hands and quick feet, which enables her to get steals and deflections. Offensively, she can drop times and fill it up from multiple spots on the floor. She is a heady floor general who is poised with the ball in her hands. Doesn't matter her assignment, the platform, or whatever, this kid just hoops. She can penetrate to score or kick, pull it and create her own shot, defend the full length of the floor, whatever is asked, she does it plus so much more. She wears her heart on her sleeve, plays with a chip on her shoulder. This kid is a player and she is always giving maximum effort. Can play with her back to the basket, but displays an impressive face up game where she can attack down hill to finish or create and shoot off the dribble. Playing in space is her greatest asset as she can carve an opponent up by using her speed and shiftiness. Heady ball player who takes advantage of mismatches.This kid is a beast and as she competes with Ensworth this season, look for her to be one of the top players in the district. This kid brings a lot to the table. Offensively, she is solid from the field, can be useful in the screen game, most importantly she finishes, putting the ball in the net. Defensively, she is physical, rebounds, and fights for position down in the paint. You can tell she's added to her game as she has become more versatile. Look for her to be an important piece of the Lady Eagles attack this upcoming season.
