During the Fall, each year I put out an article about 5 prospects from the current 8th Grade Class, that everyone should keep an eye on moving forward. I don't have a chance to highlight this grade level too often, so this is one of the few moments that will happen, prior to everyone's high school careers.

[player_tooltip player_id='896839' first='Grace' last='Lucero Miner'] is a name to know when you it comes to the 2029 Class out of Nebraska. Lucero Miner is a SG that can get hot in a hurry from deep. It doesn't take much for Miner to start to get hot from the outside, while shooting the ball from far distances away from the basket. Her biggest question mark when it comes to her play is, will she settle? If she takes what the defense gives her and she continues to be able to shoot at this high of a rate, then we are speaking about a top prospect out of this Class moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='897131' first='Stella' last='Burgher'] has a nice step back pull up going left off the dribble and she is someone that can read her opponent really well on the defensive end. Burgher will eventually end up competing at Lincoln Christian for high school ball and she should be a standout. Their returning roster will obviously play a factor but from what I've seen both in person and on film, Burgher checks off a lot of boxes when it comes to if she could compete at the Varsity level right away. I'm sure at this point she is more worried about her 8th grade year ahead but it's never a bad things to look closely into the future.

I would consider [player_tooltip player_id='897256' first='Emerson' last='Johnson'] as a lengthy guard, that can be moved around to play the Forward position if need be, depending on the size of the teammates around her. She stands at right around 5'9 and her guard like tendencies make her an interesting player to know moving into her 8th grade season. From what I've seen, she has better than average coordination, a soft touch on the ball, and she understands the game from an X's and O's standpoint. Those three things are going to help her in major ways once she gets to the high school floor, where ever that may be.

To say that [player_tooltip player_id='896729' first='Charlotte' last='Hoffman'] is a determined individual when it comes to this sport of Basketball, might be an understatement. Hoffman is a student of the game and she works hard to love the process of becoming better. Currently, she stands in at 5'9 and she has a unique skill-set, that lets her thrive from inside-to-out. What that means is she can bruise down-low and handler her own with her back to the basket or she can screen and step out for a nice jump-shot, from all over the court. Defensively, her size lets her "wall" up against bigger opponents and her athletic ability helps her stay with quicker, smaller opponents. Hoffman has a bright future and this is just the start if she sticks with it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1049055' first='Justice' last='Love'] has an act for being in the right place, at the right time and the stems from her hard-working/willing-ness to mix it up with other prospects. Love shows a lot of promise in her potential at this point. She is only an 8th grade and she is someone that has stood out for a few years now with her skill level. She is prospect that can keep it basic and find success, without having to do anything fancy or unnecessary. Whenever someone is a young prospect, you have to tread carefully because you never know what they could turn into in their future but you can still easily tell if someone knows what they are doing out on the court and Love knows what she is doing.
