This weekend, we'll close out coverage from the Top 250 Showcase last weekend. Today, we're looking at Team Five and highlighting the players I have notes on from the event. On Monday morning, we'll start our 2025 rankings update.

The Wisconsin Lutheran guard sat behind some uber-talented guards in her first season as a Viking. Sias-Chaney has the tools to be a productive varsity-level point guard, and she showed why in Appleton. The sophomore guard shot the ball well in her time on the floor this past weekend and forced defenders to come out and guard her. I also thought she did an excellent job showing off her footwork to create space around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039235' first='Dasha' last='Yeltysheva']

The Sturgeon Bay guard is a player I'd seen some film and highlights of but hadn't seen in person. I was more impressed by her in person than I was on film. She played like her hair was on fire, which stood out more than anything. Yeltysheva showed off a floater she wanted to get to every time she got downhill towards the basket. The Sturgeon Bay native was also one of the better creators at the event and attacked the basket much better than I expected. She was one of the surprises of the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039256' first='Paige' last='Pommerich']

The Suring guard got some playing time in year one for the Eagles. Pommerich had a soli showing up in Appleton. She was an aggressive passer who wanted to push the ball up the floor. The Suring guard also did an excellent job attacking the basket and putting pressure on the rim. She forced defenses to bend to keep her out of the paint, which opened the floor for her to make quick reads and kick the ball out. She'll have a solid season for Suring.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039230' first='Brinna' last='Paulson']

I was thoroughly impressed by [player_tooltip player_id='1039230' first='Brinna' last='Paulson']. The Oshkosh North guard was among the top shooters at the event. She's added some strength to her frame, which has made her jumper look as effortless as almost anyone I've seen. She's close to putting everything together, and if she were to become a prominent piece for the Spartans as they start taking that program to another level, I wouldn't be surprised. There's something there, and she's close to turning the corner. Remember her name because she could be a prominent figure in the FVA. I can't say enough positive things about her.
