Nobody raised my eyebrows more in showcase season than Brinna Paulson. I thought her shot looked much more crisp than the last few years, and she seemed more confident when she had some space to shoot the ball. Playing with Awut Alic will mean she finds open shots on the perimeter, and if she starts making shots in bunches, North could continue their rise up the FVA standings. Paulson may be the barometer of how well the Spartans play this season, and I’ll have a close eye on how she’s playing this season.

A name that popped up at the Top 250 Expo last month, Paulson is a kid I’ll watch like a Hawk early in the season. The Oshkosh North guard shot the lights out in Appleton that afternoon and looked much better than she had in the past. Paulson taking a step forward this season would massively aid the Spartans in their rebuild and allow them to space the floor more with a knockdown three-point shooter. I’d say that Paulson could be the barometer for how good this Oshkosh North team could be in 2024-25.
