I attended the Scott Allen October Showcase over the weekend at Paul VI School in Chantilly, Virginia and came away impressed. This was my first time at their top-notch facility and I came away impressed. They have the two-court set up which is perfect for a high school showcase. They had a good mix of teams, public and private, and I got a chance to see some prospects I hadn't seen before. Let's start with some frontcourt players.

[player_tooltip player_id='302566' first='Jemma' last='Eleby'], Catholic, 2025, Forward

Versatile 6'1" forward that impacted the game with her constant activity. She crashed the boards on both ends, pushed the ball up the court and delivered accurate passes to her teammates. Her work on the glass helped her draw a bunch of fouls, and she was able to cash in at the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1124651' first='Jordein' last='Holder'], Mechville, 2026. Power Forward

A little bit undersized at 5'11", but she makes up for that with a high motor, loads of intensity and explosive athleticism. She was all over the boards and played some good defense. She got the ball up the court quickly with some nice outlet passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='569079' first='Abuna' last='Ruop'], Norfolk Christian, 2026, Center

You have no choice but to take note of Abuna as she is a legit 6'9" tall. Abuna has excellent fundamentals and very nice touch around the basket. She is fluid with her movements and plays with confidence. Naturally, with her size she impacts both ends of the court. She's very solid in the paint and even let one fly from the three-point line. Very fun player to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='930987' first='Lola' last='Saunders Mensah-Bonsu'], Riverdale Baptist, 2025, Center

Bouncy 6'3" post that moves well without the ball. She has a solid build and can finish through contact around the basket. She also showed off a nice face up game while sinking a couple of 15 footers. I like how she hustles and runs the floor. I thought she played solid team defense in the game I watched.

[player_tooltip player_id='732169' first='Emily' last='Hunter'], TPLS, 2025, Center

Emily is an imposing 6'8" and knows how to use her size. She is very skilled around the basket and gobbles up rebounds at a high rate. The Texas Christian University recruit had a solid day, showing off a nice shooting touch and strong passing skills.
