With the tip-off of the 2025 season looming, we at Prep Girls Hoops are previewing said season by taking a look at certain players that aficionados would be wise to keep an eye on. We began with senior guards and forward and not turn our attention to centers.

In our preview article looking at senior guards, we spotlighted Robertson's teammate [player_tooltip player_id='569643' first='Elle' last='Stone']. Here we turn our attention to Robertson, the Mavericks' resident veteran patroller of the paint. At the beginning of the calendar year, Robertson landed her first Division I offer from North Carolina A&T. The 6-foot-2 big presents plenty of problems for opponents on both ends of the floor. As effective a scorer as she is, she is also extremely difficult to score on. The length she also brings enable her to bring down rebounds. Her final season of AAU ball saw her wear the [program_tooltip program_id='713538' first='Carolina' last='Flames'] uniform and she will be a huge reason why Mallard Creek will be in the 4A contenders discussion from start to finish.

This season will only be the fourth for the Storm as Willow Spring HS is one of the newest schools in North Carolina. The last couple of years, Willow Spring has been among the winningest programs in the state going a combined 51-7 the last couple of years. She landed an offer from North Carolina A&T last calendar year and has since picked up interest from William & Mary as well as Radford. Mitchell wore the Willow Spring uniform on 29 occasions last season and averaged 8.7 points plus 6.9 rebounds a contest in 2023-24. Mitchell has played two sports throughout her career – basketball and volleyball.

In 2024, Farrell has been swimming in collegiate offers. Pfeiffer. Bryn Mawr. Bryn Athyn. Davis & Elkins. Roanoke. Piedmont. Sewanee. Randolph-Macon. Mars Hill. Barton. When one is a product of the [program_tooltip program_id='713558' first='Lady' last='Attack Elite'] program, that means one must be doing something correct on the court. Farrell stands at 5-foot-11. The 2023-24 season was her second consecutive where she averaged at least 10 points per game. She took to the court on 26 occasions wearing Cox Mill's signature purple and teal colors and averaged 10.7 points, eight rebounds and 3.1 steals for the 4A Chargers. Her play last season helped to earn Cox Mill another berth in the 4A tournament.

It was back in June that Ross landed her first of what turned out to be many collegiate offers. Said first offer came by way of Lees-McRae. Since then, Regent, Wake Tech, Montreat and Livingstone also have expressed interest in bringing Ross to their respective schools. As is the case with Mitchell at Willow Spring, Ross has also partaken in two sports throughout her athletic career – basketball and volleyball. She will spend her final season at the high school level with Butler after transferring from [program_tooltip program_id='713552' first='1' last='of 1'] Prep. Ross is sure to be a worthwhile addition to Butler which finished with a record of 15-11 (8-4) in 2023-24.
