<p>Gibsonburg had one of the most successful seasons ever in school history. They finished 23-3 overall, which is the most wins in school history, and won their first outright league title in school history and only the second league title ever. The other title was 48 years ago in 1976. They also made it to the Regional tournament for the first time ever as they won the first District title in school history. Highlight wins last year includes Danbury, Tiffin Calvert, Port Clinton and Norwalk during the regular season. Their biggest win was when they defeated Toledo Christian in the District Finals.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='861142' first='Elly' last='Evarts'], 2027 – She was just a Freshman last year, but scored 578 points (22.2 ppg), including 87 made 3-pointers. She also added 6.2 rpg, 3.5 apg and 4.3 spg. She ended up earning several post-season awards including Player of the Year/1<sup>st</sup> Team – SBC(Sandusky Bay Conference), Player of the Year/1<sup>st</sup> Team – District 6, 1<sup>st</sup> Team - NWO District and 2nd Team - All Ohio for Division IV. <em>(Feature photo above)</em></p>

<p><strong><em>Players to Watch</em></strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='861142' first='Elly' last='Evarts'], 2027– She will be expected to play an even bigger role this year. Everyone knows she can score but they are excited about her defensive development this off-season and know she can be a leader on both ends of the court. The sky is the limit for Elly, and the staff is confident that they will have a chance to win every game when she is on the court. She received her first D1 offer this summer along with one from D2 as of this time.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1049960' first='Ansley' last='Fleming'], 2025 – Ansley has been a key player the last two seasons and they are confident that she will continue to contribute at a high level. She is a very good defender and can hit the open 3-point shot. She is also a great leader on and off the court with the younger girls in the Gibsonburg program. </p>

<p>Alayna Molte, 2025 – She will be asked to fill in several roles this year. She is a solid defender and rebounder and can hit the open shot when needed. She is one of the hardest working players in the program and does many things very well. </p>

<p>Emma Jividen, 2027 – Emma stepped up last year during tournament time and was key to their post-season success. She is a very good 3-point shooter and will be one of the top options offensively this year. </p>

<p>Emily Henderson, 2026 – Emily's development rapidly increased last year, and the staff is confident she will continue to grow and be successful on the court. She is a strong post player who rebounds extremely well and can score around the basket. They are expecting great things from her this year. </p>

<p>Leah Hall, 2026- Leah was injured this summer and is doubtful to play this season. She was a key all-league player last season.</p>

<p>Taylor Rapp, 2026 – She has been injured most of the last two years and is now nearly 100% health-wise. She had a very good off-season, and the hope is that she can contribute down in the post both offensively and defensively. She is also a very good passer for a post player. </p>

She is a very smart player who can handle the ball and hit the open shot. She has a great work ethic and will be given an opportunity to be part of the rotation this year.</p>

<p>Bree Gamble, 2026 – She is a solid rebounder who continues to develop each year. She has a great spirit for the game and has a positive outlook which carries over when she plays. </p>
