If you do not want to be classified as someone living under a rock by this time next year, you should go ahead and get to know these players! Like the 5A classification, the 4A classification has some of the richest, but undiscovered talent in Arkansas. These players may all be from different parts of the state, but they all have extremely bright futures in basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060836' first='Karstyn' last='Scrivner'] has already been offered by Maryville University, Arkansas Tech, Ouachita Baptist, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Southern Nazarene, Drury, and Harding. That is a big offer sheet for a junior, but with her potential, Scrivner can and will receive even more with a massive junior season.

Scrivner is a player that can make plays inside and out, and on both sides of the ball. In other words, she is a solid all-around player. Offense is her calling card though, as she can stretch the floor with her efficient 3-point shooting, and she can drive inside and finish against smothering defense. Scrivner can also move without the basketball, cutting to the basket and finding her way inside to grab an offensive rebound. Once she has the board, she goes right back up with it. Another impressive offensive quality of hers is her communication when she does not have the ball. If she is open, she is doing what she can to get her teammate's attention while getting prepared to shoot or make her move off the catch.

On defense, Scrivner is a disruptor, poking away passes from everywhere on the floor. She reads plays perfectly, recording a lot of steals and deflections. She also hustles hard, and when the ball is loose, she is on top of it in an instant.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060836' first='Karstyn' last='Scrivner'] is one of the best players in the 2026 class, and her long offer sheet will continue to expand once she starts balling out in her junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='819148' first='Emma' last='Chambers'] is a tough bucket-getter! She can score in the paint, from mid-range, and from beyond the arch. There is not much Chambers cannot do on the court, and it will be fun to watch her torch defenses in 2024/25.

Chambers creates space very easily, and she can get to any spot on the floor that she wants. Chambers' quickness and craftiness allow her to slice her way inside for good looks at the rim. Once she is there, she can finish over the defense through contact. From the perimeter, Chambers is not a player to leave open. She has a solid shooting form, and if she is chased off the 3-point line, she can just step in and nail a mid-range jumper. Chambers also has the floater in her bag, as well as plenty of ball fakes and jab steps, making her unstoppable.

[player_tooltip player_id='819148' first='Emma' last='Chambers'] was 4A-7 all-conference and an all-state honorable mention as a sophomore last season. She is already DeQueen's best player, and she now has a chance to become the best scorer in the 2026 class. Offers will soon follow, of course.

[player_tooltip player_id='716556' first='Sadie' last='Meyer'] is one of the best stories in basketball. Meyer has faced overwhelming adversity with her health the last couple of years. Despite that, Meyer continues to fight, and she continues to prove to everyone why she is amongst the best in the state. Meyer is already committed to the University of Tennessee-Martin, but she is going to be one of the most electric players in the state this season, and we should all be talking about that.

Meyer's offense game is expansive, and she is not an easy player to stop when she has it going. It all starts with her handle, as she shows off her brilliant ball-handling ability every chance she gets. She keeps the ball on a string, this way she can get to any spot she wants. Meyer works off screens incredibly well, having the option to drive inside, pull up for a mid-range shot, or to dump it off inside. Of course, Meyer can do all of those things well, but her ability to shoot off the dribble is the best.

Since she has a great handle, Meyer is occasionally given the opportunity to play some iso ball. Once she has the matchup she likes, she will lull the defense to sleep with her handle, then when the moment is right, Meyer explodes into a drive or pulls up for a jumper. Meyer's offense is her strong point, but she is a formidable defender, too.

Meyer is great at chasing down opponents and swatting shots away. On occasion, she will slow down just to have the opportunity to block the shot. Meyer can also poke passes away and start the fastbreak.

[player_tooltip player_id='716556' first='Sadie' last='Meyer']'s story is inspiring. If you are not familiar with her story, I suggest that you look it up. Despite all of the roadblocks, Meyer is a Division I commit, and the pride and joy of Highland, Arkansas, and certainly one of the strongest hoopers in the natural state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060832' first='Kirsten' last='Johnson'] is a versatile scorer, who has a little bit of an old-school offensive game. Johnson is entering her first season with the Lady Comets after spending her previous high school seasons with Little Rock Parkview. The expectations are high for Johnson and Mills, but some players perform at their best when the stakes are at their peak.

Johnson is tough when she has the ball in her hands. She is a solid 3-point shooter who can knock down contested jumpers, especially from the top of the key. Johnson's shooting form is smooth and she has a flexible release, but her arch needs to be higher. Straight line arch or not, Johnson is a major shooting threat.

Like I mentioned, Johnson has some old-school moves in her bag. She has a tight handle and is great at getting to her spots. Though she is a guard who shoots a fair number of threes, she finds her spots from mid-range and can hit turn-arounds and fadeaways with precision. Johnson also cuts inside and finishes at the rim, and does not mind some tough interior defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060832' first='Kirsten' last='Johnson'] received an offer from Northeast Mississippi during the summer, and now she is looking to add on more. Keep an eye on Mills and their go-to scorer, [player_tooltip player_id='1060832' first='Kirsten' last='Johnson'].

[player_tooltip player_id='549973' first='Stevie' last='Tanner'] is one heck of a shooter! She can easily light up the scoreboard in a matter of seconds, and once she starts feeling it, no defense can stop her. Tanner was 4A-4 all-conference and an all-state selection last season. She is one of the top players in the 4A classification, and she will strive to become the best this season.

Tanner's 3-point shooting is remarkable. She has a quick release, an excellent follow-through, and solid elevation. Tanner is always ready to shoot the ball off the catch, but she also has a great shot fake, which she can then use the side-step to create extra separation to knock down a triple. If the three is not available, then no worries, Tanner can step in and knock down mid-range shots from all over. If that is not there, then there is still no reason to worry, as Tanner can drive inside and finish against the trees.

Defense creates more offense for Tanner. She is great at picking off passes and taking them to the other end for easy layups. If she cannot score for herself, Tanner has the vision to dish the rock to a teammate for an open look.

[player_tooltip player_id='549973' first='Stevie' last='Tanner'] is an elite scorer, and Dardanelle has a roster full of talent. The Lady Sand Lizards are without a doubt the best team in the 4A-4, and they might even be looking at a deep 4A tournament run.

[player_tooltip player_id='876289' first='Jeneva' last='Gregory'] received her first collegiate offer from Northeast Mississippi back in August, and I do not see any reason why she does not receive more in her junior season. There are not many good floor generals in high school basketball, but Gregory is one of the few that excels in that role.

Gregory knows how to set up an offense. As just a sophomore, she controlled the pace of the game better than most upperclasswomen, and possibly on par with some college guards. Gregory can slow the game down, and then speed it up whenever she sees fit. Since the ball is always in her hands, and since she is an underrated scorer (I will talk about that in a second), Gregory knows when the defense will collapse on her. Once it does, she will distribute the ball to an open teammate for an easy assist. Gregory loves to set up her teammates from inside and out, so it would not be surprising if she averaged double-digits assists as a junior.

Like I mentioned earlier, Gregory can score. She can hit threes off the dribble with a high arch and a quick release. Gregory can also drive inside with a burst of speed and easily finish past the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='876289' first='Jeneva' last='Gregory'] is one of the best pure point guards the 4A classification has to offer, and every college in the country could use a player like her to run their offense.

No, this is not [player_tooltip player_id='876288' first='Brooklyn' last='Owens'] of Har-Ber High School, this is another fantastic hooper from the Duck and Rice Capitol of the world, Stuttgart. And I know I have said that each one of these players has potential to be one of the best players in 4A or in the 2026 class, but Owens is another player with a case for consideration in that elite company.

Owens is a natural scorer, who can hurt defenses from everywhere on the court. She has a quick handle that allows her to get to her spots on the floor. Once she finds her spot, she can immediately pull up for a jumper or blast her way inside to the bucket. Regardless of how Owens scores, she will score, that is just a fact that the opposition must accept. Owens can light up the scoreboard in just a few possessions, using a fast and flexible release on her jumpers. She has a great first step, and she can get around the defense to the basket with ease. Of course, defense can create offense, and Owens applies that to her game.

Owens is a physical defender who creates turnovers like it is her job. She is great at punching the ball out of the opposing ball-handler's possession and taking it the other way for an easy score. She can also make what look like easy layups turn into massive rejections. Owens hustles extremely hard on defense, outhustling everyone else on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='876288' first='Brooklyn' last='Owens'] is mulling over two Division I offers as of now: Alabama A&M and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. With a strong junior season, Owens will be mulling over more than just two D1 offers.

Samiya Robins is an all-around scorer who is hard to stop when she has it going on offense. Robins will be relied up to score more for the Lady Devil Dogs this season, so there is no reason why Robins does not have an all-conference-caliber season.

Robins is a very tough finisher. She can finish through difficult contact, whether it is in transition or in the halfcourt setting. Robins can spin off the defense and finish as well. From the outside, Robins is very comfortable knocking down 3-pointers, whether they are off the catch or off the dribble. Her form is pure, with solid arch and adequate timing.

She can also cause plenty of turnovers by breaking up the passing lanes. Robins reads plays perfectly, and can take the ball to the other end for easy points.

Morrilton High School went 37-3 last season and advanced to the 4A state championship. Now entering this season, the Lady Devil Dogs will be playing in the 4A-5 North, which is perhaps the most talented and toughest conference in the entire 4A classification. Her best achievement so far though, might be her first official offer from Lyon College back on October 16th. Wallace is the best junior point guard in her conference, and she can already make a case for best point guard in her classification.

Wallace can make a huge impact on the game with her outside scoring. She is a major threat to get it going from beyond the arch, and once she finds her rhythm, good luck trying to stop her. Wallace has a quick release and a good arch, allowing her to take a couple of steps back and hit deep threes. Though Wallace is the team's primary ball-handler, she can hit threes off the catch in addition to off the dribble.

On the interior, Wallace is an underrated slasher. Wallace is mostly a shooter in the halfcourt, but on the fastbreak, she can finish against some tough defense. Her comfort level when dribbling with both hands is high, and that allows her to get past the defense easily. Since Wallace is a point guard, she needs to be able to facilitate the ball, and she can definitely do that. She has impeccable court vision, and no matter how far away she is throwing these passes, they are right on the money each time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060828' first='Lexi' last='Wallace'] deserves more than just one college offer. Walker can ignite her offense in just a couple of plays, and she is one of the many dangerous players the Dardanelle Lady Sand Lizards have to offer.

Walker does not have the quickest release in the world, but her elevation and arch help get the job done. She is also not afraid of the defense's closeouts, hitting contested threes at a similar clip to those that are wide open. Like I mentioned, Walker can spot up and knock down catch-and-shoot triples, but she can also hit her deep shots off the dribble and off a ball-screen. Frankly, it does not matter where or how Walker shoots it, she will drain the triple in the opposition's face.

In addition to her perimeter shooting, Walker can make great plays on the defensive end. [player_tooltip player_id='1060823' first='Maranda' last='Emerson'] changes the game with her 3-point shooting, but she can make winning plays in more than just the offensive department.

Let us hold off on the offense for a second, I have not spent enough time talking about defense. Emerson makes an impact on that side of the ball with her ability to steal passes. Andy Katz has bracketology, which is where he predicts March Madness brackets, but [player_tooltip player_id='1060823' first='Maranda' last='Emerson'] has stealology, where she predicts where the ball is going. Once Emerson has an eye on the ball, she is taking it away. Once that ball is in her hands, she uses elite speed to get down the court to score an easy fastbreak layup.

Now we can talk about her outside shooting. Emerson is always ready to shoot the ball off the catch. She has a quick release, solid shot elevation, and high arch. Emerson can also take a couple of steps back and hit some deep triples. If Emerson is chased off the perimeter, she knows how to cut inside and be ready to receive a pass. She can then use either hand to finish over the opposition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060823' first='Maranda' last='Emerson'] will help the Lady Wildcats excel this season, and Watson Chapel has a great chance of winning the 4A-8 conference title.

This was my longest article yet, and if you made it this far, hats off to you. This work was a representation of how many great 4A 2026 guards there are, and I could have included many more. The 4A 2026 forward group is another position group with a lot of depth, and that could possibly be another long article, so be on the lookout for that one.
