Pleasant Valley High School returns this Winter with some revenge on their mind and some prospects that can get after it. One of those prospects at the PG position is [player_tooltip player_id='311400' first='Kaylee' last='Mowen']. Mowen comes in and can run her team's offense from the PG spot or she can move down the floor as the 2, if they're starting PG - Reagan, is having a good game. Which is usually the case. Over-time, Mowen has demonstrated that she can get hot in a hurry scoring the ball offensively, while also being a better than average passer. She might not be the first or second option in her program but because of how good her teammates are, she gets a lot of open looks with the attention they bring. Most of the time, Mowen does a great job of making the most of those chances, standing out in more ways than one and I'm sure that will be her goal one more time again this upcoming season.

Williamsburg has 3/4 upperclassman on roster that are collegiate level athletes at this time. If they continue to work hard and get the correct chances moving forward, they could compete at the next level in the right situations. One of those players being PG - [player_tooltip player_id='896456' first='Carly' last='Rich']. I've had the chance to see Rich on multiple occasions over the years, on all different sorts of floors and every time she is making smart plays. No matter what the situation is. She might not be the one to show too much emotion but trust me, she is completely invested with what is going on around her and she usually see's success because of that. For her last time on the Varsity floor, Rich, like everyone else in this piece will give it all they have. If they do that and stick to their team's strategies, they are going to love the way it turns out in the end, when they look back on things in a few years.

I am very intrigued at the situation at Valley High School this upcoming season. The Tigers lose their main producers in years past but they also return some really impressive prospects to their Varsity team. One of those prospects, that is going to come in to play an important position is [player_tooltip player_id='311397' first='Addy' last='Adams']. I'm not sure if Adams will start or not but when she does see the floor, her efficient play is going to be a key to her and her team's success. If she can play some meaningful minutes, protect the ball and make the others around her better, then she is accomplishing her job for this team and that is something she should be proud of. As an individual prospect, Adams possesses a solid handle, she communicates well with others around her, she is a team player, and she just has a lot of fun out there. Those are four factors that usually lead to a positive recruit out on the floor and that translates to several levels past the high school stage.

When looking at the DCG Mustangs system, I think we can all say that it is pretty solid on both sides of the ball. Coach Jones and company understands what works best for his prospects, which leads to a lot of wins and a lot of great times. Someone for their group, that should have an important role this Winter for her Senior season is [player_tooltip player_id='671473' first='Neela' last='Williamson']. Williamson is a dawg. She is scrappy, athletic, a fantastic defender in both the half and full courts, all while being decently skilled for a multi-sport athlete. For the Mustangs to put together a big run this Winter, they will need everyone to step up for production reasons. One of those players looked upon in some situations will be Williamson so now all that is left is for her to go out and make it happen.

[player_tooltip player_id='671469' first='Adeeya' last='Yanga'] of Storm Lake High School and Lady Martin Bros AAU is someone that is quietly going to have a great season for her Senior year over these next six months. Yanga is one of the taller individuals that the state of Iowa has to offer at this point and she has solid balance, coordination, and touch as well. When you have all of those things at over 6'0, you can usually do some work on both sides of the floor in this sport. I'm going to be in attendance early on this Winter to see this group and Yanga complete. If she can show me that her motor is there and their system is up to par, they are going to be a tough group to stop on any given night this time around.
