5A: Contenders & Sleepers

[player_tooltip player_id='796795' first='Milika' last='Satuala'] is a legit D1 guard, in our opinion a no brainer for at least 5 of the local next level schools. [player_tooltip player_id='788162' first='Taylor' last='Harvey'] will be a do it all wing that is athletic. [player_tooltip player_id='827404' first='Maleah' last='Nelson'] is coming along and [player_tooltip player_id='864680' first='Mae' last='Johnson'] is a player that has next level potential. This team has an impressive schedule. If there is a team that can score 100 points in a game in 5A this is the team that could do it. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>West </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>West on paper is a beast! Kylee Falatea is a very impressive guard that is another D1. player. [player_tooltip player_id='789150' first='Kaydence' last='Falatea'] is also really good. [player_tooltip player_id='796811' first='Tia' last='Pan'] is tough and shooting well. They have size with [player_tooltip player_id='796805' first='Laite' last='Latu'] and look out for [player_tooltip player_id='935237' first='Mia' last='Martinez'] who has improved a lot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Brighton</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brighton brings back their entire team from last season and they will be powered by two really good guards in Sophie Nielsen and [player_tooltip player_id='789082' first='Olivia' last='Stephens']. Then you add some good shooting from [player_tooltip player_id='788335' first='Lucy' last='Chin'] and some good on-ball defense from Ava Nielsen and you have a solid guard rotation. Key player will be [player_tooltip player_id='788269' first='Charlotte' last='O'Neal'], if she could be a post presence inside she could really help this team a lot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Wasatch</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wasatch had a good run last season and this year they will have a much improved [player_tooltip player_id='796470' first='Mahala' last='Speardon'] and [player_tooltip player_id='613008' first='Peyton' last='Behnke']. These two could easily cause damage in a simple pick n' roll.
