Free Report: Kansas Class Of 2028 No.’s 11-20

The Kansas Class of 2028 went from “watch list” status to the inaugural rankings this morning. There are now 70 ranked Kansas ballers in the Prep Girls Hoops Kansas 2028 rankings.

Ranked and unranked athletes are encouraged to claim or create profiles, which can be accomplished by using the following link: https://prepgirlshoops.com/prospect-index/  Athletes can claim or create profiles for free; however, Prep Girls Hoops is a pay site, so a subscription is necessary to see the complete rankings and reports.

HOWEVER, I have made this individual report a “Free Report” so everyone should be able to access it without having to subscribe to the site. We don't do this often, so I hope you will take advantage of it and share it with as many people as possible.

It is important to remember that these early rankings are used to welcome Kansas Athletes to the Prep Network family and to begin the process of putting names out there for college coaches who subscribe to our site.

There are very few stats to go along with this group and a active social media presence played a key role in this first set of rankings. Athletes in this era must be self-promoters at times and these 10 have started the process of correctly.

Numerous athletes will be added to the rankings by the time this class hits their senior year. However, it is always my intention that players won't be dropped unless they move out of state or quit playing basketball completely.

Here is a quick look at the athletes ranked No. 11-20. I will be sure to check rosters this prep season for impact freshmen and watch this class compete in club ball.

Hailey Schmidtlein Hailey Schmidtlein 6'0" | PF Hayden | 2028 State KS , 6'0”, PF,  Hayden, ‘28

Schmidtlein is a gifted multi-sport athlete. I have seen her play basketball and volleyball and she is can dominate either game. She is coming off an award winning freshman season in volleyball. She debuts in the rankings at No. 11 and is also the No. 1 overall ranked athlete in the Prep Dig Kansas Class of 2028 rankings. She plays club basketball with the Missouri Phenom and club volleyball with the Topeka Saints.

Kaylee Weltmer Kaylee Weltmer 5'11" | PF Smith Center | 2028 State KS , 5'10”, PF, Smith Center, ‘28

Smith Center's Weltmer enters the ranking at No. 12. At 5-foot-10 she has the size which makes her a natural prospect. She does have a HUDL and X account, but both lack video right now.

Kiya Jaquez Kiya Jaquez 5'6" | SG Maize South | 2028 KS , 5'6”, SG,  Maize South, ‘28

Jaquez is a quick guard who debuts in the rankings at No. 13. She can shoot the three or run the point. The Maize South prospect checks all the boxes I want to see from a young self-promoter. She has a professional-looking X account, and a HUDL account, and is registered on field level.

Blakely Walter Blakely Walter 5'6" | PG Hayden | 2028 State KS , 5'6”, PG, Hayden, ‘28

Hayden's Walter debuts in the rankings at No. 14. Like her teammate Schmidtlein she is a multi-sport prospect coming off a volleyball season where she has garnered plenty of postseason accolades. She plays club basketball with the Missouri Phenom and club volleyball with the Topeka Saints. She also plays high school and club softball. She is currently ranked No. 4 overall by Prep Dig Kansas.

Amiley Lewis Amiley Lewis 5'2" | PG Hugoton | 2028 State KS , 5'2”, PG, Hugoton, ‘28

Lewis joins the rankings in the No. 15 position. She is a solid ball handler and has already played a lot of basketball. The small school prospect has an X account and HUDL account. That's something you don't often see from younger smaller school prospects.

Caroline Fahrenbruch Caroline Fahrenbruch 5'2" | SG/PG Norton Community | 2028 State KS , 5'2”, SG, Norton, ‘28

Fahrenbach debuts in the rankings at No. 16. She is a speedy guard who can hit from deep and run the floor. She plays club ball with the Missouri Phenom and has accounts on X and HUDL. She plays club ball with Next Generation Elite.

Hazel Dillavou Hazel Dillavou 5'8" | SG/CG Blue Valley Southwest | 2028 State KS , 5'7”, SG/CG, Blue Valley Southwest, ‘28

Blue Valley Southwest's Dillavou enters the rankings at No. 17 overall. She is a young guard with length. She likes to shoot from deep and is off and running as a self-promoter. She plays club ball with Kansas Elite .

Karys Deiter Karys Deiter 5'5" | PG Silver Lake | 2028 State KS , 5'5”, PG, Silver Lake, ‘28

Deiter debuts in the rankings at No. 18 overall. She plays club ball with Missouri Phenom. Silver Lake is a competitive program year in and year out. She is a grinder who understands the value of each possession.

Brynlee Reid Brynlee Reid 5'5" | SG Cheylin | 2028 State KS , 5'5”, SG, Cheylin, ‘28

Cheylin's Reid enters the rankings at No. 19. She is a multi-sport prospect who competes in volleyball and track and field. She plays club ball with Magic Basketball .

Makiya Maka Makiya Maka 5'9" | PF/CG Chaparral | 2028 State KS , 5'9”, PF/CG, Chaparral , ‘28

Maka rounds out the first-ever PGH Kansas Class of 2028 Top 20. She is a dual-sport prospect currently ranked No. 2 overall by Prep Dig. She had a monster attacking season for the Roadrunners. She is a physical prospect who will drive to the lane looking to score and draw contact.
