Mid-Michigan Mega Scrimmage: Terrific Tigers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>H.H. Dow High School hosted their annual Mid-Michigan Mega Scrimmage on Saturday, November 23rd and the event was once again an exciting day of basketball. New and familiar faces emerged as impact players for their teams throughout the day. Her length and quick-twitch movements gave her an advantage on both ends. Brooklyn showed her outside range by drilling 3s with smooth shooting mechanics and blew by defenders off the dribble to score transition layups. Brooklyn boxed out using a strong seal to secure rebounds, and used her length to cause deflections. She hustled back to deflect a pass in transition and elevated to block a shot in the paint. Normandy drilled a smooth pull-up jumper from the elbow and wrestled for 50/50 balls on the floor. She created separation from a defender using a quick combination of crossovers and between the legs dribbles. Normandy beat her defender baseline using a sweep move to score a smooth mid-range jumper off the dribble. Shayler muscled her way to an offensive rebound and converted the layup off two feet. She pushed the ball with both hands in transition, beat her defender off the dribble to bury a pull-up jumper from the elbow, and drilled a corner 3 coming off a screen. Emilia used her anticipation to create multiple steals on defense and overcame defensive pressure by using a variety of quick, low, crossover dribbles. She used a reverse pivot in the high post to face up and drive hard to force fouls, earning free throws. Kimora missed a contested shot inside and outworked her defender to secure the rebound, then finished a tough layup off two feet.
