The Iowa City High Little Hawks are going to have a chance to have one of their best season in a long time this upcoming Winter with the personal they have returning to the lineup. One of those crucial prospects being Sophomore Forward - [player_tooltip player_id='833956' first='Kaitlin' last='Loria']. Loria is one of their big forces inside the paint, the eats up space and makes plays on both sides of the floor. Last season as a Freshman, Loria was their team leader in RPG and she also had some solid scoring adventures as well throughout their year. It is crucial for everyone to come correct these next few weeks if they want to really make a run at this thing during Playoff time and Loria is going to be a vital piece to that situation.

One of the best shooters out of the 1A Class comes to us in the form of quick trigger, [player_tooltip player_id='609457' first='Sacha' last='Alesch']. When I say Alesch can shoot the leather off of the basketball, I really mean it. She is someone that doesn't need much space over half court to let it fly and if the defense gives her a ton of open looks or time, it's usually going to end bad for the opponent in the grand scheme of things. This season Alesch will return to the BG lineup with confidence, poise, and hunger. She is going to be motived after having a solid Sophomore season last time around.

It's time for [player_tooltip player_id='1056179' first='Danika' last='Hoogendoorn'] to take the reins over the Central Lyon program for her Senior year, after following in the footsteps of her sister for the past few. Don't get me wrong, Danika put up solid numbers in her own right so far throughout her high school career but now it's time to take things to a whole other level. Hoogendoorn plays the PG/SG position and she should be on pace to have a record breaking season from an individual standpoint. She should average over 15 PPG with 5-7 RPG and 5-7 APG. When you account for all of that, you can tell that this is going to be much more than a role player moving forward. She just has to let the game come to her and the success should follow.

Waterloo Christian High School put together a respectable season last Winter, going 16-7 overall and 9-3 in their conference. A big reason for their success with the mixture of senior leadership and skill they brought to the floor. Along with their constant preparation. Someone that did a great job of stepping up during this time for her Freshman year was [player_tooltip player_id='863286' first='Natalie' last='Witt'] at the CG spot. Witt was a Top 3 producer for this group in different categories throughout their Winter. Now with their two main Seniors leaving due to graduation, it's going to be Witt that is called on in important moments. She is going to be someone they try to get the ball to in their offense to get an easy bucket at the rim off the dribble or she might even receive it in the post with a smaller opponent guarding her. Anything could really happen but either way, Witt is going to put this group on her back and that is going to be fun to see first hand.

It is pretty obvious to anyone paying attention in Iowa that [player_tooltip player_id='311376' first='Savannah' last='Gage'] of Ankeny High School is more than just a role prospect for her group. She is a D1 commit, who can hoop at a high level and she is ready to show that off this upcoming season. Gage is going to play a really important role in her team's success this Winter, especially at the offensive level. [player_tooltip player_id='342205' first='Jayla' last='Williams'] for them will EAT defensively with steals down the stretch of big games but others will need to step up to hit big shots on rotation and I think that has to be Gage sometimes. She is beyond capable of making this happen so now it's all about living in the moment and owning the situation when it comes about. Two things that I think Gage has done a great job with up until this point in her basketball career.
