[player_tooltip player_id='975773' first='Avery' last='Vanderburg'] (2028) | 5'9 CG | WMA

Avery is currently ranked as the # 1 combo guard in the class. She's a hardnosed creator off the dribble. The competitiveness stands out in her game. Vanderburg plays a ferocious style that blitzes defenders. She has an all-around game that's well suited for being productive on the high school level. WMA will be able to use her efficient play at multiple positions. Avery competes on both ends of the floor dynamically. She makes plays that are utterly awesome to watch. On defense, she uses her strong frame to soak up the contact created during collisions in the lane. She'll be integrated nicely into the schemes due to her adaptability. Avery's a smart player that is rarely out of position and keeps her head on a swivel. No surprise here why she is a popular prospect in '28.

[player_tooltip player_id='975729' first='Aaralyn' last='Scott'] (2028) | 5'6 PG | St. Andrew's

A steady point guard that plays the right way and handles the ball well as a facilitator. She sets teammates up by giving them the ball in the best position to score. Scott is what most coaches desire as a facilitator. She's unshakable under pressure and her moves are geared towards function rather than fashion. Aaralyn makes it her point to protect the ball at all costs while she's dribbling. For example, when she goes to her spin move, Scott uses her body to shield the ball rather than expose the ball to defenders crowding her. She can score the ball well too. She is in search for mismatches that switch onto her and uses her ox-like strength to power through the defense when getting to the rim. On defense, she is an additional strong body that can be inserted into lineups on the fly. The aggressive play tends to work in her favor by agitating ballhandlers that are used to being able to work freely. St. Andrew's is flooded with guards, but Scott's mature game will make her a reliable option for the team in various scenarios throughout the season. She already has experience playing, so it'll be interesting to see how big of an impact she can make this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='975843' first='Jazlyn' last='Booth'] (2028) | 5'4 CG | Suffield Academy

A gifted guard off the bounce with tremendous speed and creativeness around the rim. She's super quick off the dribble, but slows herself down as she approaches the rim to be able to survey her surroundings. Booth sandwiches herself between the defense when driving into the lane and finishes regardless of the contact she faces. On the defensive side of the ball, Jazlyn provides excellent on ball guarding skills. She hustles to the ball and takes her matchups seriously. No easy points are scored on her. Suffield has the pleasure of having Jazlyn and her twin sister on the squad together. They both continuously pose a serious threat to opponents this year. Jazlyn is a standout freshman talent to watch through the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='975866' first='Kiera' last='Paradis'] (2028) | 5'5 PG | Lawrence Academy

Kiera is an aggressive playmaking point guard. She's a ridiculously aggressive attacker that relishes contact met at the rim. Paradis embraces the impact from bigs and regularly finds herself drawing fouls. She shows the capacity to consistently cash in at the line. The decision making is decisive when the ball is her hand. She'll observe her options quickly before pouncing. If the driving angles aren't available for her to exploit, Kiera has no problem spreading the ball around. She evenly distributes amongst her teammates and finds shooters in their spots. Defensively, the persistency shown while fighting to get over screens and getting back into plays is noticeable. Her cutthroat nature serves her well. Lawrence has an imposing freshman point guard coming into the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1005124' first='Anjolie' last='Abelard'] (2028) | 5'6 CG | Milton Academy

Anjolie is a special player with tons of upside. The freshman combo guard is a dual threat on the offensive end. She serves as great facilitator and can fill the role of a scorer when needed. Aberlard is a patient player that doesn't force much on the floor. She has a tight handle, but doesn't have the tendency to overdribble in isolation possessions. She seeks mismatches and baits defenders into biting, so they are put out of position; making defenders that reach pay. Anjolie is also a solid shooter that has a confident follow-through. She doesn't hesitate to shoot the ball, regardless of who's in front of her. If things aren't falling for her, expect Aberlard to affect the game in other ways. She's adamant about face-cutting sleeping defenders and finds holes in the defense to hang around in. Additionally, the offensive rebounding Anjolie provides at the guard position is outstanding. On the other side of the ball, she's a stellar on-ball defender. She sticks to players and swallows them up with her long wingspan. Aberlard loves to pick up way outside the 3-point line. She'll pluck the ball free from ball handlers, so guards must be careful what moves they use around her. This is a player who has incredible potential. She checks so many boxes, but still has some much room to grow. Milton is in good hands with a young guard like Aberlard featured.
