Scott’s drop in position isn’t something that should be looked into too deeply. She’s shown flashes of dominance and this factors into her being a top 5 pg in a loaded class. She’ll be under close watch as a main feature for Saint Andrew’s this season.

BCRI made the announcement that they got Scott this summer and it’s been a great fit so far. Yes, they’re a bit guard heavy, but Aaralyn brought a different level of gravity. She’s a bit of a mismatch nightmare because of her strength, agility, deceiving handle and tough shot-making ability. There’s a play every game that can be pointed to that would raise an eyebrow.

Aaralyn is tough to guard because of how well she changes speeds and stops on a dime. Every time I’ve watched her play she’s found ways to impact the game. Her spin move gets her to the rim in a hurry, and she stays balanced through contact to finish plays.

There should be no questions around Scott being a top player in ’28. She’s starting to get incredibly creative with the ball, making highlight plays a somewhat normal part of her game. She capitalized on space, utilizes her strength to create separation, has the handle to shake by defenders and possesses a daringness to pull off shots after breaking defenders down. Aaralyn was so exciting to watch.

Aaralyn delivered a strong performance in the NEPSAC AAA Quarterfinals against Tilton, finishing with 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals while knocking down five three-pointers on efficient shooting. One of those came from nearly 10 feet behind the three-point line. When attacking the basket she uses her extremely strong frame, making it difficult for defenders to hold their ground. Aaralyn is also a shifty ball handler, creating space off the dribble to free herself for jump shots.

Aaralyn put together an impressive defensive stretch, recording five steals against Worcester Academy and four more against Nobles, while averaging 10.5 points and 4.5 rebounds across those two games. As a freshman last season, she played with confidence beyond her years and seamlessly fit in against older competition. She’s a quick decision-maker on the perimeter, getting into her shot with no hesitation and releasing it rapidly. She also sees the floor well, consistently advancing the ball and setting up open teammates, highlighted by an 18-point, 6-rebound, 4-assist performance against NMH.

Aaralun put together an impressive all-around outing with 24 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, even in a tough loss. She has a lightning-quick first step that allows her to get to the rim, pull up in the midrange, and draw contact while finishing through it. Defenses are stuck in a bind guarding her, as she can blow by tight coverage or confidently knock down shots when defenders give her space.
