Abelard has certainly been keeping herself busy lately. She came out strong at the NEPSAC showcase, scoring 16 pts in her first game. Anjolie has also been getting solid reps at SISRUNS and she’s scheduled to attend multiple camps this upcoming weekend. With all this activity, Abelard should be ready to go by the time the PGH Expo rolls around.

Abelard has sacrificed for the betterment of her team, put it all on the line in big moments and earned the respect among her peers for her relentless effort. Coaches should start to take notice of Anjolie; this is a prospect that embodies that embodies diligence and a high character person that can be an absolute positive to any program.

Anjolie is a disruptive defender with active hands and strong anticipation, consistently forcing turnovers and jumping passing lanes for steals. Offensively, she is a strong playmaker who does a great job drawing defenders before kicking the ball out to open teammates for quality looks.

Anjolie has made it easy to mention her here. The 2-way menace is on a hot streak lately and standing out with her signature style of play. Abelard makes it hard on primary ballhandlers, creators as well as scorers as a point of attack defender. The long arms plus her reactive agility give opposing players real trouble. Even though she hangs her hat on defense, the offensive approach has been pretty balanced in recent play. She’s making good decisions on the fly too. Schools should start paying attention to Abelard.

Anjolie was nominated for DPOY plus she was also named an All-Star in her division this season. Abelard has improved on every part of her game coming in as a sophomore and it’s shown. Even though she’s shown considerable growth as an overall scorer, it’s her foundational defense that separates her from her peers. Anjolie shows extreme intelligence reading plays, she constantly understands where to be at to make the right play and has an outstanding motor. Abelard is just one of those players that’ll take on any challenge thrown her way; the type of player most coaches dream for. It’s been an absolute pleasure watching her continue to ascend.

Anjolie has been a key piece in helping Milton Academy secure the #5 seed in the Class A playoffs. She’s shifty off the dribble, keeping defenders guessing and using a smooth floater to finish over help defense. Anjolie anticipates passes well for steals and finishes strong by using her body to shield defenders. She sees the floor clearly as a passer and confidently knocks down perimeter shots when left open.

Anjolie’s stock is on the rise. She’s been a reliable option that’s becoming more assertive especially in the scoring department. Abelard’s selfless nature as well as adaptable traits make her a universal plug-in. The sheer drive she plays with will always create fruitful opportunities no matter the situation. Anjolie has gotten better skillfully and that could very well be attributed to her consistent efforts to get in the gym. That sweat equity as well as repetition can do wonders to development; it’s really starting to pay off for Abelard’s confidence. She hasn’t even fully blossomed yet and she’s already a 2-way difference maker. Eyes will be on her through the year.

Anjolie brings a strong two-way impact, especially on defense. As a freshman last season, she had a standout performance against Dana Hall with seven steals while serving as the primary perimeter defender. Offensively, she lives up to the “shooting” guard label with a lightning-quick release from three and also has a smooth floater to finish over size in the paint.

Anjolie did not disappointment. She was quick and released or pushed the ball for fast breaks. She was able to score in the paint or get to the line. She also played great perimeter defense and made hustle plays.

Anjolie has great hands on defense, able to stay in front of her opponent the full length of the court and pick pockets for steals, often getting steal after steal. She has a smooth floater game to finish over taller defenders and is an extremely unselfish player, always willing to make the extra pass to set up her teammates. Confident at the rim, Anjolie attacks the basket strongly and can finish with either hand.
