Being a two-way player means that you actively compete on both ends of the floor, on every possession, every time that you are in the game. In this article we talk about five prospects out of Nebraska, that I would consider better than average two-way players because of their efforts on both sides of the ball.

Last Winter during her Freshman campaign, [player_tooltip player_id='817140' first='Justice' last='Currie'] of Lewiston High School put together a memorable year in a few different ways with her shooing ability and her defensive prowess. Currie was a player that primarily shot the three ball from an offensive stand point but on defense, she averaged 4 Steals Per Game. A pretty impressive number, that ranked Currie Top 40 throughout the State in that category, no matter of age level or Class. For her Sophomore season, this is someone that could have an even better campaign. She is going to have to become more efficient while letting it go from deep but that is do-able. She just needs to lock in mentally every possession and the results will be bountiful.

You can't have a much better season than Southern Valley High School did last year, going 28-2 and falling just short in their efforts of a State Title but lucky for them, they will return this Winter and have another chance to be in the same exact situation. This team will return everyone except their star producer from the past few seasons, [player_tooltip player_id='866309' first='Ann' last='Bose']. Someone that is going to be on this roster for her Senior season, that should put up eye-opening numbers again will be SG - [player_tooltip player_id='866305' first='Adi' last='Hunt']. Hunt averaged over 5 SPG during her journey last season, really turning it on throughout the year. She also did her part to try and help run her team's offense in the short team, being a facilitator, rebounder, and producer on a few different levels. If this team wants to have another shot at a State Title vs Pender once again, Hunt will need to play some impactful ball at a high level. A challenge I'm sure she is ready for.

[player_tooltip player_id='871247' first='Karissa' last='Stengel']'s steady progression throughout her high school career has been something noticeable moving into this upcoming season at Maywood/Hayes Center High School. Stengel put up good numbers during her Freshman year with even better numbers for her Sophomore season. She steadily stacked her days in the offseason and that added up to better production numbers in scoring, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. If she continues on this trajectory, she is going to be someone that more and more start to recognize as time goes on. She might not play at the biggest school but her confidence, mixed with the skill side of things is pretty solid and that is going to lead her into having a great finish for her last two years at the Varsity level. Her active hands and quick feet make her a terror for others to matchup with a majority of the time and I don't see those things changing anytime soon.

Sutherland High School is going to be searching for other main producers early on during this season and I think that [player_tooltip player_id='1056163' first='Fallyn' last='Elfeldt'] at the SG position is going to step up into an important role. With her ability to score at a thorough rate when given adequate time and the willingness she has to get physical with bigger matchups, it just shows that she can produce and she can be someone that is taken seriously on the Varsity floor. During her Junior year, she was a staple for her group in multiple ways. This Winter she will be looked at even more by the underclassman below her and that's a type of pressure she should be excited to receive because it means she is doing something right or has been up until this point in her career.

[player_tooltip player_id='757573' first='Avery' last='Kissinger'] of St. Cecilia High School is a Top 20 prospect for her 2026 Class because of her ability to impact the game, on and off of the basketball. Kissinger competes at the 2 position, usually hitting big shots or forcing turnovers in a number of different ways throughout a ball game. For her high school team specifically, she is someone that they can rely on and look too in big moments when they need to make something happen. She can get stops on quick guards with her natural awareness and that does not go unnoticed. As for Kissinger's future, I'm not sure what that holds exactly. Early on in her high school career she received a Wayne State offer so that kind of speaks about the promise that the coaching staffs at the next level, thinks she has.
