I'm excited for the 24-25 season for Arkansas girls' basketball! With most regions already underway, the rest of the state's high school programs kick off this weekend. Arkansas girls' basketball is on the map, and prospects like these are the ones that give the state it's recognition. Fayetteville has a stable of prospects and Kyra Ball and [player_tooltip player_id='593261' first='Syniah' last='Coachman'] fit the bill for this 6A West team. McKenzie Williams for Beebe will shine this year and [player_tooltip player_id='1196045' first='Libbie' last='Bartek'] of Legacy Academy in Lockesburg has good start to this exciting season. Prospects from this area are gaining momentum on a national level in recruiting. It's platforms like Prep Girls Hoops Network provide the need for prospects in Arkansas to be recognized. I'm humbled and honored to be writing about student athletes for such an incredible network. Easton McCollugh ends this list as a talent for the future of Arkansas girls' basketball and is being recognized on a national level!

Ball has endured a lot since playing for Coach Rimmer, even undergoing ACL surgery in 2022. Since then, this fearless guard has expressed her toughness and mental strength as a player. Kyra helped the Lady Bulldogs to a 6A State Championship Title game last year and has the same focus as the team to capture it this time. The senior can penetrate the lane with ease powering through defenses to score. She's a solid and quick guard with great on ball defense. Fayetteville opens up the season on the road versus Greenwood tomorrow, and Kyra is more than ready to do like her last name says.... Ball!

Another shooter from Legacy Academy of Lockesburg has started this season off to a fantastic start. Libbie is a strong shooter who can fill up the basket. She has averaged 15pts a game so far for Legacy and looks to be just heating up. She was huge in a 38-6 win this past Tuesday and really impressed me with her maturity and sportsmanship on the court. Creating off the dribble and developing some separation moves when in triple threat will eventually blossom for this freshman. Keep an eye out for this one.

A hidden gem in Arkansas girls' basketball and a hardnose guard for Beebe, Williams has continued to work hard. 24 -25 is her year to break out as a top prospect in state. Surrounded by a talented team, success is near for this student athlete with hard work. The junior guard can be a streaky shooter and will develop consistency. I expect McKenzie to have a great 24-25 season and keep your eye on this one!

Coachman is one the most talented players in her class and watching her clips were really impressive. She runs the floor with grace for a chase down block like Lebron. Coachman has poise and great reaction timing for such a young player. She has next level skills that attracts colleges from Hawaii, Wichita State, Alabama, and a list of others. Playing for Fayetteville as a freshman, the 5'11 forward/guard had a game high of 22pts. Coachman's sophomore season will be the time for her showcase her talent as a top prospect in Arkansas basketball. She's complete as a guard and works like there's room to grow. Showing no satisfaction for where she is in her career is a hunger that will not go unnoticed. She can shoot, create off the dribble, and play great defense. What is impressive is that you can see #23 displaying things she works on and constantly adding to her game. An incredible talent to look forward to seeing more of.

Hands down this kid can play! Jason Key of The McDonald's All-American Committee quoted earlier in October, "The best Shooter in U. S. "McCollough has been on every recruiting circuit this summer and has caught the attention of the nation. This 5'9 Phenom will dress up for The Lady Cardinals of Farmington this year and it will be exciting to see! Miami, Mississippi State, Alabama, Illinois, and Iowa have their eyes on this combo guard who can play and defend 4 positions on the court. Natural shooters that develop it become great shooters. Her form is smooth and effortless, and she keeps a good shooting rhythm every time. In the "Best of the Best" 3pt shooting contest, McCollough made a total of 35 from behind the arch (19 on the right wing). She previously made a total of 26 (20 on the left wing). Arkansas has a lot of talent and McCollough is bringing the spotlight to Arkansas for girls' basketball in 24-25 with an ESPN Top 100 Ranking for the class of 2028 this fall.
