Nike TOC Under the Radar Players to Watch

The Annual Nike Tournament of Champions. which hosts High School teams from all over the country did not disappoint this year and several standout players may be considered "under the radar" but caught my eye with their basketball Skills and their potential. [player_tooltip player_id='408999' first='McCall' last='Sims'] of Westview Tennessee was perhaps the most impressive under-the-radar player of the entire tournament. She led her team to an upset victory over Nevada powerhouse Centennial HS with 20 points. Here are the players that caught my eye.   Nike TOC Under the Radar Players to Watch:    Camille Higginbothan is an under-the-radar Big with a lot of upside. She is a very good rim protector and rebounder. She is very skilled around the rim offensively and has a knack for getting onto the block and getting her shots off. She is also a very good shooter for her size, able to hit mid-range shots as well as three-pointers.       [player_tooltip player_id='408999' first='McCall' last='Sims'] was the Overall Most Valuable Player of the John Anderson Bracket, leading her team to the Championship. She is an incredible three-point shooter who shoots a high percentage from three and is consistent with her mid-range shots. She is a highly skilled defender who is always in good position within her team's base defense. She is a terrific leader on the floor and is definitely a college prospect.     [player_tooltip player_id='608452' first='Bernadette' last='Carranza'] is a very solid Combo Guard who is a good shooter and ball handler. Her most impressive asset is her poise and her ability to stay calm under pressure. She is the daughter of Canyon View Head Coach Desirae Carranza, and she is like an extension of the coach on the floor. She will definitely play on the next level.     [player_tooltip player_id='602889' first='Tilley' last='Cummard'] has good size and athleticism for a Forward and is a solid defender and rebounder. She moves well for a forward and can defend multiple positions. She has a nice touch on her jump shot and has good range. She has a very good basketball IQ and is a team leader.     Maya Billan is an "under the radar" player that has a lot of potential. She is tall and long and is very athletic. She moves really well for a Big, and she is a very good shot blocker. The more experience she gets the better she is going to be. She has good shooting form and she can create scoring opportunities around the basket.      [player_tooltip player_id='659945' first='Maci' last='Kerns'] is a very good ball handler and passer. She has very good court vision and makes good decisions with the ball. She has good shooting range but is primarily a distributor. She is a solid defender and moves really well in the open floor.     [player_tooltip player_id='639464' first='Cynthia' last='Tewksbury'] is another under-the-radar player that impressed me at the Nike TOC. She is an excellent point guard who is strong with the ball. She can penetrate the lane at will and get the ball to open players. She also does a good job of feeding the post. She is a very good shooter with excellent range.     [player_tooltip player_id='598326' first='Markayla' last='Shirley'] is a very solid point guard for Chandler. She is a floor general who runs the show on Offense and is an excellent distributor. She is a very good shooter and has the ability to drive to the hoop and open things up for her teammates. She has excellent footwork on the defensive and get into transition quickly.
