It was the Saturday before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring except my three snoring Frenchies.

As hockey pucks bounced off goal pipes on my television screen, a big social media commitment meme appeared on my computer screen.

The prep season is on hold until January, but I still need to post scouting reports to keep Prep Girls Hoops Nation merry.

During this season the Captain is a bit of a scrooge. Yet, I decided to share some holiday cheer, so here is some news on Kansas prospects PGH holds dear.

[player_tooltip player_id='671505' first='Maddie' last='Vickery'], 6'1”, PF, Washburn Rural, ‘27

Vickery was the prospect who made my night gay, as she announced her commitment to Kansas State on this day. Vickery is averaging 22.6 points early this season. With more than a dozen DI offers, on choosing the Wildcats she gave just one reason – Manhattan felt like home. The Washburn Rural prospect is ranked No. 2 overall in the Class of 2027.

[player_tooltip player_id='779208' first='Zoey' last='Buckner-Franklin'], 5'6”, PG, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, ‘27

One of my favorite holiday treats is popcorn in caramel, but this next prospect plays for Kapaun Mt. Carmel. Franklin can score in the paint with no shame and in December averaged 28 points per game. She is shooting 97 percent from the field and many college offers she is hoping to yield. She is also the No. 5 athlete in the Class of 2027 field.

[player_tooltip player_id='431037' first='Hayden' last='Heim'], 6'3”, PF, St. Marys, ‘25

Heim in one game dropped 42 points this week. With that performance, she broke a 35-year record at her school. She thinks flying reindeer and Red One Ninja Snowmen are cool. If my math is correct she is scoring 29 points per game. On Christmas Morning I am sure she will get plenty, as she is committed to being a Central Missouri Jennie.

[player_tooltip player_id='351760' first='Asia' last='Lee'], 5'10”, CG, Olathe North, ‘26

Lee is averaging 25.5 points for the Olathe North Eagles. She thinks Rudolph's Red Nose makes him look regal. She is ranked No. 2 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She is shooting 43 percent from 3-point land, and hopes Santa Claus watches her play for Della Lamb.

[player_tooltip player_id='344788' first='Rylee' last='Dick'], 5'6”, PG, Rossville, ‘26

The Rossville prospect is scoring 25.2 points per game. From the free-throw line she is shooting 75 percent, and wishes Santa good luck on his multiple chimney dissents. Dick is ranked No. 33 overall in the state, and thinks that a title with the Dawgs or Phenom would be great.
