Notes from Day 2 of the Jim Rose Classic

This event is honor of the late Jim Rose, a successful businessman who poured in a substantial amount of resources to develop the schools buildings and athletic facilities that helped make the LCA Rose Campus what it is today. She displayed great court-vision and made crisp passes to cutters. Claire was dialed in from deep in the second half, knocked down several 3-pointers and had a nice "And-1" play. She also protected the rim, moved well without the ball, and was active on the glass throughout the game. She got after it on defense and was very disruptive, using active hands to get deflections. She can change directions quickly and handles the ball really well. She made a relentless effort to get to the basket and used her athletic frame to absorb contact and still finish. Noel had a couple tough "And-1" plays and made the most her trips to the stripe. She drained one from downtown to start things off, then made a strong drive to the cup and finished with her off hand. She did a nice job getting downhill and finishing inside. She knows how to gain position on the low block and I liked her footwork and ability to score over each shoulder.
