In a tightly-contested game vs Montezuma, [player_tooltip player_id='782505' first='Grace' last='Richter'] stood out across the stat sheet for the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats. The 5'8" small forward tallied 14 points, 5 boards, an assist and a steal to lead her team to a win and stay undefeated in their early season. Richter does a good job sealing smaller defenders, finishing through contact and keeping the ball away from hands in the post. Averaging just over 11 points and 4 rebounds last year, Richter looks like she is set to take the next step during her junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='311393' first='Molly' last='Boge'] is more than capable of lighting it up, and she proved that yesterday vs. 1A fourth-ranked Riceville. Boge poured in 20 points for her North Linn squad, including going 2/5 from deep and dishing out three assists. Boge is a consistent threat from behind the arc, making four or more three point shots often throughout her career. In addition she got it done on the defensive end yesterday with five rebounds and an impressive seven steals. If the North Linn Lynx are looking to make another run at a State Championship this season, keep your eyes on Boge to lead the way.

While [player_tooltip player_id='311393' first='Molly' last='Boge'] got things done in the backcourt, [player_tooltip player_id='1093389' first='Allie' last='Haughenbury'] handled her business in the front court for North Linn. The guard / forward combo contributed across all categories for the Lynx, including scoring 14 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, dropping 2 dimes and snatching 3 steals. Haughenbury averaged 7.2PPG and 4.5RPG last season, and has already proven in the early going that she is embracing a bigger role as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='311360' first='Jaeden' last='Pratt'] had an impressive outing in her first game of the season vs. Pleasant Valley, who came into the game ranked 5th in Class 5A. Pratt led her team in points (15), assists (3), and steals (5) on Saturday in a game where scoring was at a premium and every possession was critical. Pratt used her length and athleticism to jump into multiple passing lanes and pick the pockets of a few PV ball handlers. The Jags are returning their entire lineup this season, and I predict the Illinois State commit will be a consistent leader for the experienced group again this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='534428' first='Aubrey' last='Kroymann'] used her size to her advantage on Saturday, going 8/16 from the floor and leading her Maquoketa squad to a big-time win against Clear Creek Amana. Kroymann also tallied 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and had a nice block where she stayed disciplined on a wall-up in the paint. So far this season the Cardinals are 3-0 and Kroymann has led the way, averaging 16.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. Aubrey and her fellow junior [player_tooltip player_id='435773' first='Cora' last='Widel'] look like they're going to be a tough duo to match this season in the River Valley North Conference.
