SJIBT Holiday Showcase: Friday Glue Players

Mirigliani stands out as not only the leading scorer for the Pioneers, but she's taking on a true leadership role for a roster that at one point had three freshmen on the court in a 56-36 loss to Cinnaminson. The 5'8 combo guard has often taken scoring responsibilities into her own hands, attacking the basket and executing layups with ease. She recorded seven points but most importantly played scrappy defense all game long. That was showcased in the first half especially, as she helped limit Shawnee to just 12 points, which ended up being too little of an amount for the Renegades to overcome in the second half. She had seven points for Middle Township in a thrilling 48-43 victory over Cherry Hill West, but most importantly contributed rebounding. She recorded 12 rebounds, bringing her season total to a staggering 50 through four contests. She was second on the team with 11 points and made key layups throughout the game. In the second quarter, she recorded five points as Cinnaminson outscored the Pioneers 22-9 to effectively put the game out of reach. Sztenderowicz is chasing 1,000 career points, a mark she should reach by the end of the season. She tied for a team-high 10 points (with Mirigliani), but most importantly contributed with seven rebounds. She also played gritty defense, recording two blocks. Foster already has 30 rebounds this year, so expect her to continue to give Clearview second-chance opportunities with her 6'0" frame around the net.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
