Bella unleashed her physical advantage in the second half against Groves, scoring 14 of her team-high 17 points with a flurry of field goals inside. Bella imposed her will in the paint on Tuesday, scoring a strong and-one through contact and sealing her defender for an entry pass before driving by to score a left-handed layup. Bella knocked down a mid-range jumper off the bounce, finished effectively with both hands several times off two feet, secured offensive rebounds, and dishing assists to teammates. Her complete performance guided the Spartans to an opening-night victory.

Maddie was a strong and aggressive player for Livonia Stevenson on Tuesday. She finished layups with both hands around the rim and tacked on free throws from the charity stripe. One of Maddie's best moments happened when she converted a left-handed turnaround and one after using a drop-step counter move. Maddie won the battle for inside positioning on offense, caused fouls to earn free throws, and converted contested layups. Her 11 points and determined effort contributed to an opening-night win for the Spartans.

Haylie is a shifty guard who grabbed my attention with her high motor and quickness for Livonia Stevenson on Tuesday. She used a high rip move to gain the edge and accelerated off the dribble to cause a foul: hit both free throws. Haylie has a smooth shooting stroke, burying a long corner jumper and corner 3 off the catch. She swiped the ball away on defense and dished an accurate pass for an assist. Haylie pushed the ball in transition, created separation with quick crossover dribbles, and drove hard to the basket. She ended the game with 10 points and was an important contributor to the team's win.

Harlem has athleticism and explosiveness that immediately separates her from the group when you watch her play. She scored a game high 19 points on Tuesday and her efforts kept Groves fighting to the very end. Harlem used an impressive high pick-up euro step move to score a reverse in transition and converted several free throws after driving hard to the basket. She buried a 3-pointer and-one, two more wing 3s, and hit three consecutive free throws after being fouled on a perimeter shot. Harlem pressured the ball while defending in an athletic stance and jumped a pass in the press to score a layup. She will be an exciting point guard prospect to follow this winter.

Jacey is a versatile guard/wing who made impactful plays on both ends to help Groves compete on Tuesday. She paused on the perimeter and then blew by her defender to score a contested layup. On the next possession, Jacey deflected a pass, secured the loose ball, beat defenders down the floor to cause a foul, and hit both free throws. Jacey drilled a pull-up jumper from the wing, battled for offensive rebounds, and sank many free throws. She scored 11 points and was a high-energy player for the Falcons.

Genevieve found her hot spots on the perimeter and knocked down timely 3s for Groves on Tuesday. Genevieve shoots with balance and a quick release off the hop. She drilled three triples from the corners and denied entry passes to cutters on the defensive end. Genevieve chipped in 11 points and is a sharpshooting guard with potential on a scrappy Groves team.
