We're in the thick of it now in New Hampshire as the 2024-25 high school girls basketball season is several games in, having just passed the holiday break. Plenty of great basketball going on and some great players to watch out for. Here's a quick preview of some of the best we've seen in the early going.

Taylor Fellows - Newport (2025)

Fellows is the leading scorer amongst Division III schools, a near 20-point scorer for Newport, who is off to a hot start overall. Having a leader like her to be able to carry the torch early on is a massive advantage for this program and she only seems to be getting better with time. Composed scorer who is both great in on-ball and off-ball situations. Great at getting teammates involved throughout the entire game.

Zoey Lord - Newport (2025)

Talk about a 1-2 punch of talent because right next to Fellows is Zoey Lord, a future Division I softball talent that's shined on the court just as much as she's done so on the field. Lord is easily in the midst of a career year for Newport, finding a new gear offensively as her aggression and physicality on the floor has created a perfect storm of success for her.

Hannah Manley - Conant (2025)

Not the best of starts so far for Conant, hovering around the .500 mark through its first five games of this season, but leading the pack for the Orioles has been Hannah Manley, a consistent scorer that picks her spots out well and produces in-and-out on the floor. Manley is a player that can dominate at all three levels of the game, quite effortless when it comes to shooting, but aggressive on dribble drives in the lane.

Riley Anderson - Inter-Lakes (2026)

In an early look into this season, Inter-Lakes has thrived with junior captain Riley Anderson firing on all cylinders, taking this team over as her own as she leads the charge toward what hopes to be a playoff appearance. Anderson exudes confidence on the floor and it shows when watching her play. She's a fantastic player with a high upside and plenty of room to grow in her game.

Caidyn Carter - Winnisquam (2026)

Carter enters her junior season at Winnisquam with a chip on her shoulder to take this program to new heights. That hasn't quite shown up yet in the wins and losses column as the Bears are winless through their first four games of the season, but Carter has been a monster on the floor, a 16-point scorer, pushing 20 points a game at her best, with an impeccable touch and great floor vision.

Emilie von der Linden - St. Thomas Aquinas (2025)

Senior year is the make-or-break year for so many players, the final year to showcase what they have on the court to the region and the state. von der Linden has made it a point to show up and show out on the floor and for an unbeaten STA program, she's doing just that. The 6-3 forward is a double-double machine, allowing the offense to flow through her in the middle as guards are getting open on the wings.

Madelyn Howlett - Prospect Mountain (2027)

One of six teams among Division III so far that are unbeaten in New Hampshire, Prospect Mountain has a relatively new face at the forefront of the team's success, that being sophomore Madelyn Howlett. She's been a revelation in her own right, a fantastic downhill scorer with range from deep, but that physicality that can help her in the lane. Very much a complete player as an underclassman for the Timberwolves.

Emma Simpson - White Mountains (2025)

Simpson is a veteran leader on a White Mountains team with a tough mountain (pun not intended) to climb among Division III schools this season. Just missing out on all-state honors last season, she doesn't intend to miss out as a senior, coming out of the gates strong as she's averaging 13 points a game, putting constant pressure on opponents while getting her teammates involved as often as possible.
