To be a, “Stock-Riser”, means a few things depending on how you look at it but the most important factor in my opinion is that the prospect is continuously putting in meaningful work in their off-time and that work is translating to the floor in real game-time. In this piece, we cover six individuals out of this 2025 Class in Iowa, that have embodied what it means to be a Stock-Riser these past few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='497067' first='Aubrie' last='Haynes'] has been one of the more recent prospects to commit to the next level and following that, she has been doing her usual business of being the playmaker that her Bluejay's program needs. Haynes ability to control a game at the PG position with the ball is one of the more impressive skills that she possesses and I think that skill will thrive not only this Winter but into the next level. In the conference she will be playing in and with who is around her, I expect Haynes to see the floor early on in her college career but prior to that, she will continue to worry about this Senior season in front of her.

Wartburg is always a program that has high level prospects both on and off the floor. Another individual from Iowa, that is putting together a Senior season to remember while doing her thing is [player_tooltip player_id='342195' first='Laynee' last='Hogan']. Hogan will be with Wartburg following this year but up until this point, she has been demonstrating to everyone watching that she could be a very solid producer. Not only for right now but down the line at the next level as well. In this Update, Hogan moves up a few spots cause of her consistency. She has been someone that has always been solid since she was a Freshman and over-time, she has seemingly gotten better. It's always nice to see that hard work pays off and in this case - it certainly has.

I have so many thoughts about how I think [player_tooltip player_id='311370' first='Bailey' last='Birmingham'] will compete at the next level. I'm going to be very critical here, I think there is going to be more of an adjustment period than most think. With the Bearcats, they are building something special and they have a ton of young talent so it's going to be a dog fight in practice for time but I think that's what makes this great. They will not only have a great starting roster in years to come, they will also have a deep bench that can produce. If you want to win at that D2 level, that's what you really need. As for this Winter and Birmingham, it's same as usual. She is being a dominant force that no one can stop in reality. When Norwalk takes it far into the Playoff's this Winter, a major reason for that success will be because of Birmingham. This is someone that is going to be able to look back to her high school career and be extremely proud of where she started, compared to where she finished.

During the first half of this Winter season, I have had the privilege to sit and watch [player_tooltip player_id='842677' first='Alivia' last='Carr'] multiple times. Each time, I've been more and more impressed. Carr is a handful to deal with in 1v1 matchups, she can hit buckets from all offensively levels, and she is not afraid of contact. In most situations, the opponent can't handle the strength of Carr near the hoop, which leads to a lot of success under the rim on both sides of the ball. When someone smaller switches onto her, she has the ability to step out and shoot or she can screen on the outside and roll. The Bulldogs are going to have some chances to make this an interesting season come Playoffs. If they want to make a State run before it's over with, Carr is going to have to continue with this type of domination. In this Update, she moves from Unranked to #60 and I think that says everything you need to know about how her Winter has gone thus far.

The state of Iowa is going to lose a walking bucket after this season and it's a shame but it's how the process has to work. That bucket being [player_tooltip player_id='311389' first='Haylee' last='Stokes']. Stokes moves into her highest ranking to date at #8 for this 2025 Class, behind some elite company. This is a situation I've been talking about on social media for awhile now in the aspects that just because Stokes plays 3A, doesn't mean that she couldn't do it at the 5A level. That does NOT go for everyone or even the majority but in this case, Stokes could have played 5A this past three seasons and put up similar numbers across the board. Which is nothing short of impressive. The ELC Midgets are going to be the favorite to bring home their 3A title this season and that's cause of Stokes. They do have a few others as well who can hoop but let's be real. If Stokes goes crazy, no one is stopping her. Plain and Simple.
