During the first half of this Winter season, I have had the privilege to sit and watch Alivia Carr Alivia Carr 5'11" | SF/CG Bettendorf | 2025 State IA multiple times. Each time, I’ve been more and more impressed. Carr is a handful to deal with in 1v1 matchups, she can hit buckets from all offensively levels, and she is not afraid of contact. In most situations, the opponent can’t handle the strength of Carr near the hoop, which leads to a lot of success under the rim on both sides of the ball. When someone smaller switches onto her, she has the ability to step out and shoot or she can screen on the outside and roll. The Bulldogs are going to have some chances to make this an interesting season come Playoffs. If they want to make a State run before it’s over with, Carr is going to have to continue with this type of domination. In this Update, she moves from Unranked to #60 and I think that says everything you need to know about how her Winter has gone thus far.

Last week I mentioned Alivia Carr Alivia Carr 5'11" | SF/CG Bettendorf | 2025 State IA and how I thought she was going to be the vital piece to her team’s success this Winter. Last night that could not have been more true. To start the game it was all Carr for the Bulldogs. She was being a monster on the boards with her relentless pursuit of the basketball, she was keeping it simple over everything else, and she demonstrated her versatility on both ends. She started things off with buckets at the basket through contact, she was consistently getting to the line, and she was even attacking off the three point arc with the dribble. Not to mention, there were times when Carr would rebound on defense and bring it all the way down the floor to ignite their action on offense. All in all, Carr might not of led all scores last night but she was definitely my MVP of the game.

I have recently mentioned Alivia Carr Alivia Carr 5'11" | SF/CG Bettendorf | 2025 State IA because I think she is going to be a vital piece to her Bettendorf Bulldog team’s success over the next six months. Carr is someone that can be reliable, calm, and fundamental when that time comes. Following this Winter, Carr will take her ability to the college level and compete with DMACC for the next couple of years. This DMACC program is nationally recognized every season because of how good they are so this is a great stepping stone for someone like Carr. If she continues to build on her game, she is going to love the end result, whenever that may be.

When looking at the point of this article, you could say that the two main producers for the Bettendorf Bulldogs will be their “vital” player this Winter but I think it’s going to be their surrounding cast that matters the most. If team’s are smart, they will double, even triple the Bulldogs best prospects and that will make everyone else step up, players like college bound SG – Alivia Carr Alivia Carr 5'11" | SF/CG Bettendorf | 2025 State IA . Carr has an offer or two to compete at the next level following this Winter and whenever she goes, she is going to be solid in her endeavors. This is someone as a prospect that can move well off of the ball, she can screen and flash away for a pull up jumper or she can cut behind the defense for an easy bucket near the rim. It’s going to be a really fun season to see what this group can put together these next six months. That’s for sure and I can’t wait.

At the end of last week, Alivia Carr Alivia Carr 5'11" | SF/CG Bettendorf | 2025 State IA of Bettendorf High School received an offer from Black Hawk CC, out of her area near the Quad Cities. Carr is going to surprise some people this Winter at Bettendorf. The Bulldogs will have some KILLERS on roster when you look at this on paper and Carr is going to be someone that thrives throughout the year if she competes to her full capabilities. Carr is a solid SG, that can either let it go from distance or she will cut to the hoop for an easy bucket at the rim. The best part of her game in my opinion is her mixture of coordination and her discipline not to settle. If she can keep that up, she should continue to put up numbers this next eight months.

. Carr is a 5’8 player, that isn’t afraid to play outside-to-in. She is someone that can take her defender off of the dribble and score on them in the post with her wherewithal or she can step up and knock down a standstill jumper every once and awhile. The Bulldogs are going to have a run over this next 3-4 years where they start to slowly dominate the state for their Class and Carr will be an important part of that run starting this upcoming season.

A prospect out of the Eastern part of the state, that has shown off her potential at a some-what high rate this season is Alivia Carr Alivia Carr 5'11" | SF/CG Bettendorf | 2025 State IA of Bettendorf High School. It’s not every single contest but Carr has some games where she leads her team in scoring, while being their dominating presence in the middle of the lane. The best way to describe Carr’s game is physical with a high motor. She works relentlessly for the basketball each possession and is very good at “owning” the space around her. If you ask anyone about the Bettendorf Bulldogs, they will tell you that this program plays hard-nosed defense and they never give up in a contest. They play with a lot of passion and there is no better example of that than Carr. She may not be the loudest vocally in her success but that’s okay because she understands that her game speaks loud than words. With all the injuries and issues this Bulldogs group has gotten through this season, they are on the up and up moving forward with Carr being a major part of that.
