Minot State got a someone who will be an immediate impact player in the NSIC. Kyra can score and is talented with the ball. Her most impressive qualities are her defense and passing. She can defend guards and posts and her length makes it difficult for opponents to pass over her. She handles the ball like a point guard and has tremendous vision. Her passes are on point and her ability to see her teammates running lanes is really good. [player_tooltip player_id='375796' first='Brooklynn' last='Felchle'] has the slight edge due to her 6'3 size and ability to seal around the rim. Jaiden is a powerful athlete and is able to perform many post moves around the rim. She is super tough and is an explosive jumper. Jaiden is a solid mid-range shooter and has an incredible ability to draw fouls and get to the rim. She is a true competitor and battles defensively. She is a great college prospect and checks a lot of boxes that teams look for in a player. She is a long, athletic player who defends and rebounds. She is a player that doesn't make many foolish mistakes on the floor. She can shoot the three and get to the rim. She isn't afraid of physicality and uses her size and strength to her advantage. She is a key player on a Minot squad with goals of winning another Region Title and getting back to the State Championship game. Sydney is a quality defender and someone you can rely upon to go chase down rebounds. Sydney's points and rebounds would be higher if she was on a team that didn't have 6'3 star LeeLee Bell. Look for Sydney's role to increase as the year progresses. She has a great 'feel' for the game, allowing the game to come to her naturally. She doesn't force anything and makes outstanding decisions with the ball. She sees the floor well and gets her teammates involved. She has a great quickness to her and is a great defender. When the time calls for a shot, she is ready to knock it down. She has great size for a guard at 5'10 and runs well. She is crafty around the rim and has a nice change of speed that makes it difficult for defenders to keep her in front. My favorite part of Jenna's game is her passing in transition. She has a way of just floating the ball over defenders in transition just perfectly to hard running teammates. She is the only senior on the team and is looked upon to do everything for her team. I was really impressed with how hard she plays. She runs the floor hard and never takes plays off defensively. You can tell from the stands that she is giving everything she has into her senior season. Through the first few games of the season she is shooting over 44% from behind the arc. She is always shot ready and I like how she reacts to her teammates drives. She keeps space and finds the right spots for her teammates to find her for open threes. Megan is a terrific role player and everything she does points to her desire to help her team win. She is a solid defender and is another shooting option for the Hawks.
