North Laurel is off to a scorching 11-game winning streak to start the season. Freshman guard [player_tooltip player_id='1109605' first='Bella' last='Lewis'] is making the most of her minutes for the Lady Jaguars, chipping in 4 points and 2 rebounds a game. Bella has a good feel for the game on both ends of the floor. She does a good job being aggressive on defense and coming away with steals. Bella excels in transition and has shown that she can score off the bounce and hit the 3-ball, when she gets a good look.

[player_tooltip player_id='1057209' first='Jossy' last='Rosario'] is having a solid freshman season for Oldham County, averaging 8 points and 4 rebounds a game. Jossy has good size and a versatile skill set. She is most effective when she attacks the basket and she scores well off two-feet in the paint. I also like her footwork on the low block and her ability to step-out and make shots from the perimeter. Jossy can defend the interior plus the perimeter and she contributes on the glass as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='963041' first='Delaney' last='Smith'] is a guard to watch for at Owsley County. The 5'4 PG/SG is the 3rd leading scorer, putting up 7.4 points a game. She has been dailed in from long distance, shooting a team-high 43.3%, converting 13 of her 30 attempts in 12 games this season. Delaney is dangerous in transition and she likes to get the ball and go! She is quick and handles the ball well, which allows her to penetrate the defense and get points at the rim or create enough contact to get sent to the stripe, where she shoots a solid 66%. Delaney plays a key role for the Lady Owls and her ability to score from multiple levels on offense and create steals on defense will be important for her team as the season moves forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='981170' first='Axie' last='Jimenez'] is on a roll for the Dayton Lady Devils, averaging 13.4 points and 6.4 rebounds a game. She has some impressive performances, including 19 points and 13 rebounds against Oldham County in week two and 24 points to go along with 11 rebounds against Eminence at the Lady Demon Classic. She also just dropped 20 points against Bellevue on Tuesday, and went 6/7 from deep. Axie is a bucket-getter and she is very good at collecting rebounds. I see Axie finishing her freshman season on a high note.

Barren County is off to a strong 11-2 start and freshman guard [player_tooltip player_id='974359' first='Addy' last='Slagle'] is making some noise in her first season with the Trojanettes. Addy had her best game so far in a win over Cumberland County in week two, where she finished with a team-high 16 points and laced four triples. She is really good off the catch from three, can handle the rock, and knows how to play passing lanes for steals on "D".

Jordyn Shemwell is playing good basketball for Todd County Central. She has a quick first-step and the handles to get pretty much anywhere she wants off the bounce. She is a capable shooter from the outside and I really like her defensive acumen. Jordyn is a terrific on-ball defender who knows how to pick away steals, then rely on her speed in the open floor to get easy layups the other way. Jordyn had an impressive 17 point game against Jo Bryn out of Cedar, TN and added 9 steals to go along with a lot of offense. She just came through in the clutch in a nail-biter against Monroe County yesterday, and made a few much needed free throws to help the Lady Rebels get the close win to advance to the 4th region All "A" Classic semi-finals game.
