Spirit Lake High School is slowing putting together another memorable season and that is due in part to their PG - [player_tooltip player_id='560334' first='Claire' last='Turner']. Turner is a PG with crafty moves, adaptability, and a lot of talent for her position. On both the high school and AAU scene, this has always been a player that has shown up. It doesn't always mean she is scoring at a high rate but it means that she is producing as her team's leader on the floor and that's all you can ask for from a coaching perspective. I think Turner is a college level prospect. She does too many good things to not get a shot like that so I'm sure that she will have some suitors moving into AAU ball but I guess we will have to wait and see.

[player_tooltip player_id='582831' first='Joelle' last='Johnson'] of Pleasantville High School is one of the hardest workers in the 2025 Class as it pertains to this sport. She is a 5'8 SG, that has had the duty of carrying her high school program for the past 3.5 years. It's not so easy when you have to do a little bit of everything, while being the main producer offensively for your squad. It can take a lot out of you but Johnson has always done of great job of giving her best effort. Throughout these past few days, Johnson recorded her best career game to date, scoring 40 points and hitting a school record 7 three pointers. If there is a college coach out there that is looking for someone in the 2025 Class with a ton of heart, dedication, and situational awareness, Johnson might be that player for you. She obviously can play a little bit so now it's all about getting a chance.

Recording a 20-20 game is nothing short of impressive. Posting a stat line like this shows that the prospect was playing to their best ability and eating in multiple ways because of it on both ends of the floor. In this case, we are referring to [player_tooltip player_id='582830' first='Lynnae' last='Green'] and the performance she had against Glenwood this past weekend. Green finished the contest with her team winning by 20+ points, while she had 24 points, 20 rebounds, and 5 assists. This was obviously a nice performance but it's not surprising. Green has great size at 6'2 and she is a D2 commit for a reason. She can handle the paint like a pro and make a big difference with her length. If she keeps that up, I'm sure she is going to see the floor for the Loopers, sooner rather than later.

St. Albert High School is on the rise in the 1A Class this Winter. If you have any idea of this varsity roster, it is packed with college talent at multiple positions. Someone out of their sophomore class that has come on the past few months as someone to know from a state wide perspective is their PG/SG - [player_tooltip player_id='1100896' first='[player_tooltip player_id='896222' first='Maura' last='']' last='Ryan']. Ryan was the "X-Factor" in her team's win against Harlan Community to end last week. She recorded a game high 28 points and her team won. What more can you ask for? When you also take into consideration that they were missing some of their main pieces due to injury or sickness, it's even more impressive. I anticipate this group will have a shot to make the State Tournament when that time comes and that will be when everyone around the state starts to realize that Ryan could play at the next level. If she so chooses.

Another prospect with great size and a better than average potential is [player_tooltip player_id='867471' first='Ashleigh' last='Amble'] of Clear Lake High School. Amble comes in at 6'4/6'5, making her the tallest prospect in the state of Iowa and one of the tallest prospects in the Midwest in general. In Amble's previous contest, she recorded double-digits in points, along with registered 7 blocks on the defensive end. This is a just a highlight of what Amble could possibly do in the future. This is someone with a lot of raw potential. If she can work on the correct things moving forward, who knows where she could take things at the end of the day. I'm sure her height alone will bring in college interest, from there, who knows.
