The Wrightstown guard has returned better than the previous season, and this one is no different. The Tiger has been a high-usage offensive since she got to High School, and this year, she's taken a little over 30% of her team's shots, and it's working. At a point, volume is more important than efficiency, and Verbeten is at that tipping point. Verbeten is second in scoring in the Northeast Conference and has her Tigers team a game behind Marinette and Freedom atop the NEC. None of that even mentions she's one of the best defensive guards in the conference.

The biggest thing for Phillips was getting healthy. After a back injury heavily limited her action last year, she's back this season and looks like a new kid. Phillips is more active, plays lower on the defensive end, and will battle through some contact around the basket. The Waunakee native is a stretch four or five at the next level and has proven more defensive prowess now that she's physically capable of handling the contact down there. She's an X-factor for the Warriors.

I love the way Drobac plays. She's a cross-country runner in the fall, which translates to the basketball court. She's an excellent on-ball defender and can play 36 minutes without breaking much of a sweat. She started the season shooting the leather off the ball but has regressed to being an above-average high school perimeter shooter, which is all she needs to be. Her defensive prowess is her calling card. Anything she develops after that is a bonus. I believe she could be a mid to high 30% three-point shooter. That could turn her into a coveted small-school recruit if she wants to go that route.

Like Phillips, Deprey being healthy is what she needed to produce at the high school level. The Tosa East wing has been a 40% three-point shooter, which the Red Raiders needed to help space the floor for their talented backcourt to attack off the dribble to create for themselves and their teammates. She's been a consistent perimeter shooter all season and was a significant reason Tosa East had a lead heading into halftime against Brookfield East when they started slow offensively. She can be a weapon in games that matter the most.
