The De Pere sophomore is an excellent example of why the Red Birds are flying high this season. Dwyer makes winning plays on and away from the ball. She's a feisty defensive kid who's played passing lanes well and has been an excellent aspect of the Red Birds' defense in her time on the floor. She's generated live-ball turnovers in the backcourt, which has led to momentum-shifting scores, and that's helped De Pere win games.

Medford has a younger core of kids, and Klingbeil is among those youthful talentes. She's led the Raiders in scoring this season and has been a reliable option to score with volume. Her perimeter shooting has calmed down from an impressive start, but she's still demanding respect from opposing defenses because of her length, creativity, and threat to knock down perimeter shots. She has room to grow.

Milton has quietly been one of the more competitive teams in D2 and a sleeper in their sectional with Edgewood because of their depth and talent, like [player_tooltip player_id='881307' first='Kylee' last='Buttchen']. She's the kid who seems most threatening on the floor for the Red Hawks this season. She has a quick first step, and teams respect her ability to beat them from the perimeter. Buttchen has been a solid two-way kid for Milton and will be a name to know in the Badger-Large for the next few seasons.

The younger Kojo sister is like her sister. She's a physical presence around the rim who can rebound the ball well because of her motor. She can attack off the dribble and has a quicker first step than expected. Kojo also has enough touch to finish with either hand. She's sharing frontcourt minutes in her sophomore season, but that will change as the years go by, and her sister heads off to continue her playing career at UW-Platteville.

The surprise of the Big Eight this season has been [player_tooltip player_id='1049239' first='Noelle' last='Rauwolf']. She's earned the lion's share of ball-handling duties and has attacked teams that press head-on. Against Vel Phillips Memorial, Rauwolf's ability to attack off the dribble, cut through a full-court press on her own, and her willingness to get to the rim was why the Wildcats won that game. She hadn't played much, if at all, before this season, but she's been outstanding.
