Classic in the Country- Haleigh's Top Dogs Part 1!

Now that we took care of the underdogs who really caught my eye at the classic, we're now looking at the upperclassmen who took care of business at the classic!    She has great ability to create plays with or without the ball, excellent ball movement, and a talent for taking the rock to the rim. She simply exudes ease and fluidity in everything she does on the court. Her ability to move without the ball, get open, and score off of screens and strong cuts through the paint was something I recognized. Outstanding quick hands and length, able to play the passing lanes, defend, and intercept to force errors.     Creating buckets under extreme pressure is what really caught my eye with her game. She is a clever player! Fundamentals are sound; she takes care of all the minor details that add up! Her choices demonstrate maturity on and off the court, she's a great teammate who is such a positive leader and has shown themselves to be a formidable offensive threat. She's very quick but has great body control.     A gifted athlete who can play a number of positions and defend on and off the ball. She does a great job of making sure her guards see her squeezing her opponent down low and then scoring in the paint to get the ball. She does a vicious drop-step to dodge her opponent on the block. She boxes out, releases fast, and follows her shot. Her length makes it easy for her to score in the paint and rebound the ball.     I might seem bias here, but I have seen her play a lot and she only gets better and better at the game. Trammel is able to contribute to all aspects of the game. Its challenging to guard Trammel close to the basket because of her exceptional footwork and delicate touch around the hoop along with her strength. She scores during transition and provides excellent paint protection. With her size, speed, and ability to create in every area of the game, Trammel is hard to defend around the rim. She just takes care of business when she steps out onto the court.     Ana is a full-fledged guard who can move well without the ball, get open, and position herself to score. She has a nice, fluid jumper with good footwork, speed, and the ability to get past her opponent. She has outstanding court vision and promotes transition play! Capable of pushing the ball in a fast-paced game from north to south. Distributes the ball well down the floor and isn't a selfish player at all.     Nico has a very high IQ for the game and is a smooth floor general. She keeps improving her perimeter skills, especially the three-point shot, and does a fantastic job on the spin move to the rim. She keeps the offense going and always is moving the ball. She can defect passes to give her team scoring opportunities because she is a tenacious defender with active hands. She's quick at reacting to the next pass and is a pest on the defensive end.
