Classic in the Country- Haleigh's Top Underclassmen

Watching the games I covered for the Classic is always so much fun because there is talent all over the place, great players with even greater skills. Here is the first part of the underclassmen who stood out to me!    It is difficult to guard her because she is a shifty guard with amazing quickness and body composure, challenging to compete with, and she will keep developing her skill set as her basketball career goes on. She shoots the ball impressively and gets to the rim to score even through multiple defenders. When she gets to the free-throw line its automatic!     She is a beast when it comes to swiping away passes and being an issue on defense, and she is active with her feet on both ends of the court. She attacks an open lane to either kick it out to an open teammate or scores at the rim. She can take control of the game in a single play, but she also lets the game come to her. When she gets going, she's hard to slow down.     Frietag's quickness allows her to move quickly up and down the court and score coast-to-coast in transition. She also does a great job of identifying her open teammate up the court. During transition, flawless passes to a teammate makes it difficult for her defender to stop the ball. She puts a lot of pressure on and off the ball which results in turnovers for the opposing team.     She possesses exceptional ball handling skills and court vision. Even when she isn't bringing up the ball, she is always on the go and stays active. Always ready to shoot, comes off screens, and cuts hard to the rim and through the passing lanes. She possesses the strength to pass her opponent and score after moving quickly across the floor. She may touch the ball frequently because she applies a lot of pressure on and off the ball. Great defensive player with a lot of spunk to her.     For a little guard, this young baller possesses very strong basics for the game; she knows where to be on the floor at all times and performs admirably when boxing out and sealing out her opponent on the perimeter. When she shoots the ball, she follows her shot. Excellent ball handling skills, energetic, and a clever youngster. She takes control of the offense any time she wants too with quick movement and protection of the ball.     With an offer sitting under her belt already from Ohio State she also comes in as number one ranked baller in the 2028 class. With such a natural feel for the game, this young baller is so much fun to watch. It makes no difference if she is double teamed because she outpaces everyone with her speed, deft movements, and amazing handles! They refer to her as "Strawberry," explosive playmaker that has a really organic sense of the game. It will take everything you have to stop her.
