As we get into the high school season this next week, we are going to start to see more and more offers or commitments out of prospects as it has to do with their college recruitment. This is a normal trend for this time of the year as a lot of players are taking visits on campus and doing what they can to lock in their futures.

Someone that we have talked about highly the past two years is [player_tooltip player_id='873159' first='Abby' last='Lee'] from Bishop Heelan and last week she ended up committing to the Briar Cliff Charges out of Iowa. Lee put a show on display this Winter in the State tournament. She handled her own in the middle, stepped out when she needed to, and she demonstrated that she understands how to play her spot at a higher mental level than most her age. If the Charges can really get Lee to lock in on how efficient she could be, who knows how far she could take things at the next level. Bishop Heelan is going to be competing for a State Title, or close to it, once again this season. If things click at the right time, watch out. It could be dangerous to everyone else in their path with the type of roster they possess.

The Coe Kohawks became a little bit better this weekend with the recent commitment of SF - [player_tooltip player_id='432963' first='Grace' last='Linder'] out of Norwalk High School. Linder brings length, a smart head on her shoulders, coordination, and a soft touch on the ball to the floor. Within her Warriors program she has several other talented prospects around her so when she is in the game, she keeps it simple and plays her role. Something we can all respect. The Kohawks are currently putting together a season to remember and this commitment definitely adds to that momentum.

When I watch [player_tooltip player_id='766881' first='Emma' last='Vander Plaats'] compete I see a hard working guard, that uses her advantages when she can on both sides of the basketball. She doesn't ever really seem to force any action and she knows what she does well compared to others. What Doane is starting to building is shaping up nicely and Vander Plaats commitment there only adds to that. Like for most, the transition might not be the easiest thing from high school to college but I definitely can see how this all fits together.

Bennington High School is a program that has started off on fire this season with a hot record of 8-1. Whenever we highlight this program, we talk about how good their underclassman group is but someone from their Senior Class, that understands what it means to compete is SG - [player_tooltip player_id='897416' first='Addison' last='Reinoehl']. Reinoehl is averaging 7.1 PPG, 2.2 RPG, 1 APG, and 2.7 SPG in her efforts and that's just the tip of the iceberg. She is also always one of the first on the floor or into the stands for a loose ball, speaking to the heart she brings each and every contest. Reinoehl will join [player_tooltip player_id='873159' first='Abby' last='Lee'] and the Charges at Briar Cliff, adding to their already loaded roster. If this program continues to do things right, it's going to be interesting how far they can take things.

[player_tooltip player_id='342205' first='Jayla' last='Williams'] continues to be one of the top uncommitted prospects that the state of Iowa has to offer. Last week Williams gave some insight into her future by narrowing down her listen to five options moving forward. Those options being Harvard, Columbia, Colorado, Creighton, and Kansas State. No matter where she goes, this is someone that is going to fit in well. She has a great attitude while competing, she works hard on both ends to earn the respect of everyone on the court with her, and she is always looking out for the good of her program. When you pair all of that with her athletic first step and high motor, you have a high octane prospect and that's what this is. It'll be fun to see where she ends up but for now, she is going to continue to do her thing into the upcoming Post season.

Kara Kudłacz and Elkhorn North are having a respectable Winter season so far, putting together what they can out on the hardwood. In year's past, Elkhorn North has been a powerhouse because of two specific athletes but with both of those individuals at the next level now, this season was going to be one of opportunity to everyone else. Someone who has thrived off of these chances is guard - [player_tooltip player_id='1130901' first='Kara' last='Kudlacz']. Kudlacz competes as another guard for this program, who can bring positives to whatever team she is lacing up with. At Doane, they are going to bring in a sound recruiting Class moving into this Winter. If everyone comes correct and plays their role, they should see ample success moving forward.
